Seems to be a problem with PrecisionXserver turn any monitoring item on to display in OSD all seems fine even check in task manager you see it open the 32 and 64 bit versions which is fine until you reboot your pc then u get 3x 32 bit versions and 2x 64 bit versions open in task manager and it turns into a massive resource hog.
only noticed when doing a valley bench when I was losing between 10 - 15 fps all is normal when the OSD Monitor is disabled.

I am seeing a similar thing to the user having issues with Diablo III, in Rift the custom cursors some of them are conflicted with Precision X 16, the cursor disappears for example when hovering over an enemy, or trying to apply an enchant to an item, or trying to disassemble an item you have crafted, basically any time there is a custom soft cursor Precision X seems to make it disappear.
 
Any ideas as to why?
 
By the way I confirmed it is definitely Precision X, uninstalled it and my cursors are back to normal in Rift, please look into this, I love the new Precision, just makes playing some of my favorite game nearly impossible as you can not see the mouse pointer in game

I can't get the toggle button to work for turning OSD on or off. It is currently on when playing Assassins Creed 4. I set up F9 and my Function Lock is on. FYI, I tried a few other key combinations as well with no luck. What is interesting is if you aren't in the game, the key combination does work because you can see the OSD indicator in the Precision X GUI toggle ON and OFF. It just doesn't work while in game.
 
By the way, I love the look of the Font. I lot better than the blocky Riva Tuner view.


If you turn it on or off in the program, that functionality works and it will be properly on or off in the game afterwards? It's just the hotkey to change the previous behavior in-game which isn't working?

What's the limit on number of GPUs Precision X16 can handle?  I have 8 GPUs in my cruncher and I get a popup when X16 starts saying "too many gpus".  4.2.1 never had a problem with 8 gpus.

Is the Logitech LCD supported by this version, i do not really like Afterburner but had to move to it because you guys dropped support for the Logitech LCD in 15




Yes, it's supported.
 
Bug:  When using the keyboard LCD display and populating the screen with more items than the space available, the fourth item gets cut off.  Hopefully, at some point we will be able to set the font size so we can fit more than three lines on the screen.

As long as Precision X is running card runs full speed while idle ling on desktop  soon as i shut it off card goes back to idle speeds.

No it was not, it seem to sorta it self out though it drops to idle speed now,
 
Lack of moveable OSD, lack of size/font change lack of extra OSD stuff, Launching Precision X seem to bring every thing else to crawl till its done loading.
 
OSD stuff is unacceptable, these functions and extra OSD if is not something only RTSS could do but PLayclaw a quite a few other OSD stuff can do this stuff to yet this is crippled?
 
Think i stick with AB for now.

1. There seems to be hard-coded keybinds with this new release.
Whenever I press Ctrl+1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/0 in my games the game does not register the keypress. I closed precision and suddenly I could use my keybinds. Checking Precisionx I noticed that pressing Ctrl+1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/0 would hot-swap between profiles. I checked my keybinds for that and they are empty. I rebound them all to different bindings (F1-F10) and still Ctrl+1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/0 are not functioning and still swapping between PrecisionX profiles.
 
2. There is an annoying OSD. It is not the regular in-game OSD but instead it is white text OSD that shows on the top left corner of my screen. It overlays on top of EVERYTHING and both Precisionx screenshot and regular PrtScrn do not capture it.

I reinstalled windows 7 yesterday, installed PrecisionX 16, rebooted, received an error. "PrecisionX_x64" named window, error message - "Folder "" does not exist, please check again". tried reinstalling no luck. tried fresh download no luck. It worked before I reinstalled windows 7. What am I missing?
 
UPDATE: Found my font folder was corrupted, reinstalled all fonts problem gone.

found another bug...try watching anything with Windows Media Player and switch to fullscreen and try to move forward the video. It will mess up the desktop toolbar and/or the video itself.
 
Watch any MKV video files with VLC media player and the program will exit by itself.
I turn off PrecisionX and it's all working just fine again.
 
Edit: nevermind...Turning off OSD Header fixed the problem.

Okay...lets see..
When attempting to resize the monitoring window (graphs) the graphs stop updating and you get multiple scroll bars and window borders. You can close the detached monitoring window but you can't get the monitoring graphs to display either in the Precision interface or detached without restarting the Precision app.
Fan speed, if you click  where the fan speed/percentage is displayed, you can toggle between percentage and rpm, but it doesn't stick.

So I've discovered if certain applications aren't whitelisted in EVGA PrecisionX 16 Server v5.2.0; a glitch occurs where the OSD appears on top of the application and the entire application pane can glitch.

My GTX 670 FTW's base clock won't go below 1005/1006Mhz. It's stuck there. :c

Installed this today. So first up... its crashing VLC player
AND now I have noticed in my browser certain fonts have changed... they are either bolder or using italics... what the hell did EVGA Precision do?! Uninstalled and still the same...
 
EDIT: So to fix the fonts issue I had to reinstall all default Windows 7 fonts. Luckily I found a place to get all of them. I'd avoid this everyone still needs more time in the oven... back to Afterburner!

I just spent half an hour trying to figure out why Chrome would make bold text 5 times bolder than normal until I found out Precision X replaced Arial Bold for Win 7 with some version of its own...

There's an issue with Precision X replacing, or changing some of the default fonts in Windows (7 or 8).  There's a feature within Google Chrome that was enabled in one of its recent builds called DirectWrite.  It allows for Chrome scale properly at higher DPI settings.  You can work around the Chrome issue by disabling DirectWrite.  In the Chrome browser address bar type "chrome://flags/" then search for a flag called "Disable DirectWrite" and enable it.  That will fix the font issue in Chrome, but if you're using a device with DPI scaling it will use the crappy windows scaling and Chrome will look blurry at higher DPI settings.
 
Ultimately I was doing clean system build to begin with so I just wiped and reloaded Windows.  This type of thing concerns me though and I definitely want to see it addressed before I use this product with my EVGA graphics card.

Yep, this release replaces the Arial Bold font which messes up what Chrome displays. Happened to a friend on Win7 and to me on 8.1.
 
If you have windows 7 you need to open the file "arialbd_0.ttf" in C:\Windows\fonts (search for it or use cmd prompt). In Windows 8 it's "arialbd.ttf". Click the install button when opened to restore it.
 
Uninstalling precision x 16 doesn't revert this stock font back btw.

Don't know but the only other font in the evga folder is "DS-Digital Bold".

Better to re-install all Windows default fonts. However, one thing I haven't figured out how to fix from this POS software is special characters in drop boxes in Internet Explorer, etc. If you go here you will see what I mean: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
 
Check out the drop downs they are squares and they aren't suppose to be! You will also see your arrows missing in in your browser main scroll bar in IE, anyway.

I didn't go through all the posts but i think i have found a bug with precision X 16. Everything works fine in games, however when i played a movie it made my Windows Media Player glitch out and the progress bar of my movie disappeared. It was a .mkv file. I have never had this issue ever before so i narrowed it down to Precision X 16. I installed the old version 4.2.1 and everything works now. Please look into this.

I have simple needs and wants, neither work at the moment.
 
This allows me to OV to 1.3v which is just fine for gaming, but the program does not reflect this as it still shows 1.21v? It knows I have a TI Classy so shouldn't it be telling me what it's set to?
 
Secondly, I don't want OSD per-say but what I do want is key information into my Logitech keyboard. The text is too large however. Large works and makes it ridiculously large, changing to Medium makes it smaller but still too large but then Small does nothing? Small = Medium size text.
 
Last but not least, with this running I'm not down-clocking and can't figure it out. Why am I stuck on 3D clocks when idling..
 
add: when I press default, it should not just remove all settings. I want my 3D clocks and volts to go back to default after gaming, I don't want OSD to be enabled etc.

OSD keybinds for 'Toggle, Show, and Hide' are not working in-game. They work just fine when pressed with Precision up on Desktop.

I don't have that font, so I don't think it messed anything up. I have Arial, Arial Rounded MT Bold, and Arial Unicode MS Regular. I really haven't messed around with Fonts in Windows 8.1, so not sure what the default set is.
