Having gotten very impatient with my busted rig (and expecting the 900 series to be on par with the 780 ti in price) I finally went ahead and pulled the trigger on a superclock GTX 760 ACX second hand. The product is unregistered and has never been opened or unsealed. Unfortunately the guy selling it no longer retains the original receipt. While I know the terms say a copy of the original invoice is required, that it must be within 90 days of the card's purchase and registration, and that it may not be second hand, will this also apply to a card that has not been opened, used, registered, or it's warranty activated?

If by some freak chance he could find the receipt or invoice, it'd be based on when he actually purchased the card.

If it wasn't registered within 14 days, you would have had to purchase the extended warranty. Either way the card has no invoice/receipt. So probably Sh*t outta luck.

I do apologize, but 2nd hand purchases are not eligible for the Step Up program.  If the original card was purchased by another customer or sold via an auction web site, and inturn you purchased the card, then this would make the product ineligible.  Only the original purchaser from the authorized retailer will have access to the Step Up program, extended warranty, Advanced RMA and other options that come with the card.

As a 2nd hand purchase card, it would only have access to the Guest RMA, should your card have any issues or need an RMA, and the remainder of the transferable warranty listed on the same page.

That's unfortunate, ah well. Might be able to re-sell it at least. I have a feeling an unopened ACX 760 Superclocked would sell easily enough at the right price.
