I am just wondering, since I have 63 days left before my step up program offer expires. if there will be more options like the ACX versions and superclocked versions? Or will it just be the base/stock card only? Basically should I wait more time to see what comes out or just continue with my current process to step up to the 980 from my Evga Superclocked FTW dual ACX 3GB edition?

If you're not in a hurry you can wait and be safe.  As long as you sign up before it expires you can choose from whatever is put up there.

Well are the superclocked acx ones that much better and or worth the wait? I already sent in my request for the step up but if its worth waiting then maybe I can?

I was debating this very same issue this afternoon.  I have 50+ days left in my step up, currently using a GTX 770.
From what I've read it seems that reference is mostly issued, though sometimes other versions may become available depending on stock.
I decided against waiting and went ahead to started the step up.  The reference is more than good enough for me, anything extra is just that - extra.

i have a gtx770 2gb w/acx and the 970 had an option with an acx cooler but i went for the 980 reference instead i do hope they give an option for 980 w/ acx cooler.

The Step Up list shows the exact pn that is offered so you can check it out. Unless it was revised it should be the Titan style cooler (I'm looking to make the plunge too).
