I was wondering will Evga offer the GTX 970 with the titan like reference cooler? like they did with the GTX 770 for a short period of time.

Love the look of the titan stock reference cooler over the plastic one, gives it that premium look!

thanks.

seems like only the GTX 980 is going to have a titan like reference cooler.

The cooler we are questing for is actually the reference cooler seen on nvidia.com and most of the marketing and reviews.  This one .

It seems strange that no one is offering the actual reference cooler.  It looks so much better than the non-acx stuff EVGA actually released.

Also very interested in this. I have the same cooler on my gtx 770 from evga. I like how all the hot air flows out the back of the case. Plus you know, super cool LED geforce gtx

I'm after the same thing.  I don't see any manufacturers offering the reference cooler for the 970.

I guess Best Buy will eventually sell the OEM reference cards like they did with the 770, but who knows?

Back when the GTX 770 came out, EVGA did not have any plans in introducing a reference titan cooler on the 770s. If i remember correct, when asked if it would ever be available as a option. EVGA's first response was, It wasn't going to be a option due to cost of the cooler being to high. With people like us, we showed strong interest in having that cooler on the GTX 770 and sure enough the great people at EVGA gave us that option but with a small price premium to offset the cost.

I believe if we show that strong interest again, maybe EVGA will offer it once again. I am fine paying a little extra for a premium cooler. Add me to the list! +1

I'm willing to pay a premium for a titan style cooler on a 970.  The blower style that is offered looks like a vhs tape, similar to my 670. Thank you!

I will pay a premium for the Titan cooler, whether it is superclocked or not, I don't care, just some vendor (preferably EVGA) should launch a 970 with a Titan cooler just like Nvidia "intended" +1 for me.

I would love the Nvidia reference cooler on a 970. I already purchased a 970 with the acx cooling solution, but I'd be more than willing to separately purchase the reference-style cooler if it has EVGA branding. I'm not a huge fan of the blower design for the 970 - I much preferred the carbon fibre aesthetics of the 600-series.

I can't confirm if its going to be a secondary option, but Jacob just got back to me on twitter saying they don't have 970 with reference cooler in the works.

i also would like a GTX reference cooler. i have contacted the EVGA support about it on the 970 but they said they don't carry it and don't expect to either. I'm fine with a premium for that cooler +1

Guys sorry to disappoint you but i talked to EVGA sales team and they told me the only version with the Nvidia reference will be GTX 980 because they design GTX 970 PCB and the cooler wont fit in
BUT they are EVGA they can do anything right :)

Just like before if there is a lot of interest we could look into it, but the length of the PCB on 970 vs 980 is different so this could make it a bit more challenging :)

I understand that the engineering challenge could take a bit of time but I'm sure if you and your team went through with this people would be enticed to buy an EVGA card since it would be a manufacturer exclusive. Also there is a need for blower coolers since people like me don't have a massive case to cool super high end parts, so the ACX 2.0 doesn't work for me and others, and you have to admit that the Titan cooler looks pretty damn awesome. So hopefully this does come out, since really at this stage, it's a selling point for me, I don't really feel the want to get a 970 if I don't get a Titan cooler... even if the stock EVGA blower cooler works just as good, it's the aesthetics that are extremely pleasing to me.

Asthetics are also extremely important to me, however I do actually like the color blue. I just hate how the cooler only covers around 45% of the cards so all the ugly guts are visible. I want a titan-like design honestly. Or something just entirely closed. The stock base cooler design is closed, but ugly as a velcro shoe. The ACX looks cheep...

I would absolutely buy TWO, 970s with a Titan reference cooler, or just a similarly designed cooler (perhaps for the 970 classified?). I've loved and purchased EVGA products for years. And I'm building a new x99 computer to replace my 4 year old pc. Let me rephrase my first statement,

"Dear Jacob. I will purchase an EVGA x99 FTW motherboard and TWO gtx970 'titan-like-cooler' designed cards, if you guys find a way to make them. Also. I want backplates."

And you can hold me to this. The ball is in your court and my money is waiting.  :)

Woow Bro i am doing the same :D and also i found a weird brand thats sells GTX 970 reference design and also found out that the GTX 970  OEM (that goes to custom PC builds) using the Nvidia GTX 970 as option so could EVGA get some GTX 970 OEM and rebranded them with the box and stuff with the extra money

...furthermore, these cards are supposed to be high-end are they not? The stock cooler looks completely bland, absolutely nothing exclusive about it. My gtx 650 ti boost looks more aesthetically pleasing for crying out loud. Coming from a long-time budget gamer, $330 is still top dollar. Come on evga! We're nerds! The aesthetics is half of it!
