Hello Engmus,
To provide a general response here, when we receive a defective unit in for warranty it is thoroughly tested to ensure that nothing was missed during customer diagnosis and technical support assistance. If the card is deemed faulty, the product is refurbished and recertified with our manufacturing/testing facilities. If the product is a success with refurbishment to EVGA's high quality standards then it is recertified and tested. If we feel that product did not meet our high quality standards and did not pass recertification, it will be recycled.
Hope this helps out.
