I'm Slowly filling up my SSD and i want to install some other games onto my SSHD. I know this is possible to do by switching where the games are installed i asked Origin support for specific directions but they swore to me that it was a terrible idea and would screw up my already installed games. Does anyone have any experience installing to multiple drives ? Did you experience any issues with your previously installed games or new ones ? Input would be greatly appreciated Thanks !!

For clarification Origin doesn't allow for Multiple install directories like Steam was looking to get around this but don't want to ruin my already installed games

You have to reinstall them to the other drive. If you want, you can create paths to the other drive. For that, you will need to look up a video on creating links. I used to do this before Steam provided the option to install on different drives.

Copy files to drive you want them on. Then run command prompt as admin. Then type,  mklink /j "c:\path to original game folder" "e:\"path to file you want it linked"

You drives might be different, but you get it. This creates a link from Origin to the drive you want the game on... Like fooling Origin into believing it is on the drive, but it is on another one. Honestly, I would just reinstall.

Alternately, you can just delete the game you want on the other drive, in Origin, change the install games location setting, install the game in Origin and it will automatically put just that game on the new drive.

Erm Maybe i worded this poorly. I have all my Big most played games on my SSD but i kinda wanna play some Command and conquer and BF3 but i don't want to use my SSD i want to install those games onto my SSHD. Origin isn't like Steam and doesn't allow multiple game directories So my question was would switching the install location to the SSHD cause any problems? I would then switch it back when i want to install/update my more played games.

Yep I got a 2TB Seagate Solid State Hybrid drive as well for my games, luckily steam allows installing to multiple drives, sounds like Origin doesn't support it yet (good thing I don't use it)

But, Origin does. I do this myself. Just change the location where you want all games installed. It even gives you a popup saying the old games will stay in their current location. Doom, it does work to switch it back and forth. I have done this myself. The EA support is incompetent, don't listen to their nonsense.
