I thought I wanted a Haswell-E set-up before it released. But the more I read about the changes, it seems like my path will be Z97 and the refresh processors that will come out for the 1150 socket. I will probably just stick to DDR3 for a little while longer. It's nice that DDR4 uses up a lot less power, but I want performance and it seems like that is going to cost an arm and a leg if you want some high performance DDR4 in the near future.
