Heyo, just "completed my build.  Plugged it all in and booted it up, nothing displayed on monitor.  Turns out the leds are displaying 55.  Checked the manual, and this means memory not installed.  I had 2 dimms installed, so I removed the stick in dimm 2.  No cigar.  Removed the stick in dimm 1 and installed the stick originally in dimm 2.  Still no good.  What should I do?  Specs below.

EVGA z87 Stinger
8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz 1.5v (2x4GB)
i5 4670k
EVGA GTX 770 ACX SC
Bitfenix Prodigy
Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB SSD

Tried one more thing, only 1 stick of ram in dimm 2.  It worked with both sticks.  It appears my motherboard is faulty :(

Sucks, cause I'm going to a lan next weekend and I doubt RMA would be complete by with time to rebuild :(

Hello FlipBack,

I would remove the CPU cooler and inspect the socket for any bent pins. If the socket looks fine, go ahead and re-install the CPU and set the cooler on top. Sometimes if the CPU cooler is installed to tight it can cause the CPU to not make contact with the pins properly and give you POST code 55.

I loosened the CPU cooler, which didn't solve the problem.  At this point I am calling it a night.  I will inspect the cpu/socket tomorrow for bent pins...

There appears to be 1 single bent pin.

Glad to hear you were able to bend the pin back and are no longer having any issues.

Sorry to rev this post, but:
so with 1333mhz kingston i get 55 ERROR, but with my GSKILL ripjaws 1600mhz i get nothing and the system boot prop. Need to inspect the socket or bad memory?
