I recently got a EVGA SuperNOVA PSU and realize it doesnt support in computer software. Awhile back pretty sure I saw some the software somewhere think from here. Really curious what happened to it and why isnt it available on the current SuperNOVA PSUs.

    Hello FR3D1

Unfortunately this software is only compatible with the EVGA SuperNOVA NEX1500 Classified Power Supply.  Please see the System Requirements posted on the super nova software page.  I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this matter has caused.

The software requires some specific hardware built into the power supply to work. Without that hardware built in, the other power supplies cannot use the software.

The hardware piece is a internal meter which can monitor most of the internals of the PSU.  This is not something that can be added as a module externally either unfortunately.  This piece was quite expensive (even at our end), part of the high sticker price of the NEX 1500, and it was only really desired by a small niche, while most everyone agreed is was a nice feature most indicated that they would rather have a lower price and not have that, in the end most didn't actually use it.

It is unfortunate, I personally rather liked the feature as I am nitpicky about monitoring things, but it was just not widely requested.

But all PSU with software present some difference than readings with voltmeter and other more accurate tools, example Killa watt meter,
fluke tools, etc... If someone want reading he want perfect. Other option is increase little 12V rail for extreme testing but SF models works perfect and without that, and fan control. Now some models have Eco Switch and fan will work exactly when need.
It was nice for me, software was nice, but more important is quality of new generations G2/P2.

No It's only after you buy a " Super Nova PSU " (Me: 1000 P2) that you find out that what you thought you were getting when bought it is not for you because your not supernova enough so bend over because we've been screwed again

Best EVGA power supplies G2/P2/T2 and GS/PS are never advertised as models with software.
Maybe someone mixed up and connect all power supplies with software made only for NEX 1500 Classified (2012).
Anyway, believe me 1000 P2 is one of best and most wanted PSU and you don't need software at all.
No such good software capable to tune voltage and performance on NEX 1500 Classified to give same performance as P2 series or G2 series. Fan control in 3 different mods was best option on NEX1500,
on 1000 P2 you have Eco Mode for that purpose.
NEX 1500 Classified couldn't work in fan-less mode as P2.
All smart users and overclockers no matter on software use voltmeter and much more accurate tools than any PSU Software worldwide.
No reason here for complain, very rear someone talk here about PSU Software, all people want new series, SuperNOVA but without "NEX" and with G2/P2/T2 on the end or newest series GS/PS.
Aside all, some customers who use accurate and expensive tools even suspect in accuracy of Software for NEX1500 Classified.
I don't know is it true that or not, same is for some CORSAIR units.
I have SuperNOVA P2 model too and I would not change my for any PSU model available on market.
