Well, I guess I'm a bit more excited than I should be haha

If you're interested you can read my hopefully entertaining story about my computer life
Starting off with onboard intel chipset from late 1990's, building my own pc using scrap parts and later finding out that a bfg 6800GS fits into this thingy called an AGP slot, living with that for a few years fairly happy that counter-strike 1.6 goes above 20fps, to then building my own very first pc with a sparkle 9400GT silent and then buying a 9800GTX+ by EVGA two months later as my first minor upgrade which literally changed my life. Using the step-up right the moment GTX470 was announced and then stuck with a huge bottleneck thanks to my AMD athlon x2 6000+ for about a year until I was one of the lucky fellas to win an evga motherboard which pretty much made me upgrade to the modern world.
/story

I will be officially upgrading from the GTX470 to the evga GTX760!
Now let's hope my 2500k doesn't bottleneck that much

Good to be back on 'almost' the top of the graphic card food chain!

nice story and even better that it's over and you go a new way.
your i5 2500k should be just fine for the GTX760.
which model are you going to buy exactly?

The exact model is EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Dual Superclocked w/ EVGA ACX Cooler.
It was on sale at newegg and to cut down on shipping costs for my friends new rig I decided to add it onto his list.
Both of us are extremely excited, for me its my first major upgrade since forever. As for him, it's his very first own desktop build.
