Oh yeah, pretty impressed so far...  I played some Crysis3, Wolfenstein, and AC3 to test things out.  Very nice, smooth game play.  The colors out of the box compared to my Acer (after adjusting) are so much better and more vivid.

I really like this turbo button.  I can leave the monitor at 120Hz in the NVCPL so the GPU will go to idle clock speed when not gaming and when I enter a game, just hit the turbo button to push it up to 144Hz.  Very cool feature.

I played around a bit with the brightness, contrast, and colors, but ended up just going back to the default settings.  They look the best to me so far.

Can't wait for the fall when some of the new games start getting released...

I think we're all using the motorola sbg6580 lol

Using Black SB6141 here.

sAJIN did you try doing what Dakon suggested??? It worked for me!

Yep, all good.

Right on!

your running 3way SLi right?  what games have you tried out with Gsync?

One game I noticed I had to alt+tab in and out of to get the red Gsync light to come on was Star citizen. there is a weird thing with Cryengine at least for me. I noticed in a few cryengine 3 games I have to do the alt tab in and out to get the game lock in at full screen right.

one game that isn't SLI wolfenstein new order. I have to disable SLI or the Gsync/red light will not be on.

HELL YAH Bdary!!!!

hurry up and game! tell us all about it!

ONE THING! make sure to set the turbo aka hz while in game or Gsync will be acting like GFUNK

I did that and the 1st game I tested with was still acting like slow motion.  It turned out to be that I had to set my in-game res to 1440.  I still had 1080 set in the game...  Now everytime I begin a game (for the 1st time) I previously played, I have to change my in-game res.  Only a couple installed games left to change.

I tried extreme and normal. I couldn't tell any difference in BF4 so i switched it back to normal.

I'm not sure if that's part of the ULMB settings or not.  I was thinking maybe there is only some effect from it (OD) when using ULMB??  The manual isn't really clear on that.

Ok test with OD a bit more. It's really noticable when you have say a Snow lever or map. Playing lichdom battle mage on a snow level. super weird affect almost like ghosting when set to extreme mode. Turn off OD and every thing looks normal when looking around fast.

I'm finding I have to Alt+tab in and out of games a lot to get Gsync working correctly...weird.

Sajin,

The red light will be on in say BF4 but things dont feel smooth and right. I Alt+Tab once or twice and then it seems to sync up and be smooth.

Got mine today!

Just threw everything together, my desk is a mess.  Luckily I got a unit that doesn't have any stuck or dead pixels.  I've got my 780 powering the swift and my other monitor.

My only two gripes so far.....

-Are the lack of presets for different uses.
-And the necessity for running games in full screen to enable g-sync.

And about dat G-Sync tho......  For those able to perceive tearing, I think many people may not know how much tearing they've been seeing over the course of gaming since, well forever?  Honestly it has never been something that bothered me.  But having seeing images consistently that are displayed as one complete frame now, I don't think I will ever game again w/o some type of frame syncing.

Right on man. I do have to tell you though. 1080p looks very weird and bad. Doesn't look like regular 1920x1080 instead it looks blurry and misshapen.

Yea... that was the first thing I checked. I'll just have to get used to 2560x1440 in cs:go. Other than that I'm LOVING the monitor. When I'm ingame and the power light is red. What does that mean?

The red light means Gsync is engaged

I was just playing some Tomb Raider and my wife came in and watched for a few minutes.  She asked if that was 3D or something.  It just looks so amazing.  So clean, clear and vivid.  I'm in awe of the look and feel of gaming with Gsync.

With using a 120/144Hz monitor (non Gsync), I didn't find either tearing or stuttering as bad as when I used to game on 60Hz.  But now with Gsync, it plays flawlessly.  As an example, I was playing Crysis3 all maxed out, even AA to see how it would play.  Even the Jungle mission played so smooth and my frames were ranging in the low to mid 40's with some dips into the 30's.  If I wasn't monitoring the frame rate, I would of thought I was at a steady 100+ FPS.

Gysnc will change the way video cards are sold.  It will not longer matter how may FPS you can get, but what video card has ability to max out all graphical settings to make the smooth gsync experience look as real as possible.  Luckily, Nvidia has focused on quality (and I had ATI for several generation).

True that! BUT! one thing I have to say in my OP is that even with Gsync I rather be in the 70-100 range rather then down in the 40-50 Gsync stops working all together in the 30fps range but then again any game becomes a power point slide show at that pace.

Gsync will allow users to enjoy their hardware for longer periods of time that much is for sure.

23 pages? Can a mod please move this to general hardware since it is no longer news and is sitting here all day every day spammed with unnewsworthy comments?.. plugging up this news section.

Seriously you have nothing better to do than complain about threads like this that aren't copied and pasted from techpowerup.com on a daily basis as "news"...

It's still newsworthy to me because many people still don't have one and there is a very active discussion about it on a daily basis with regards to tweaks, tips and tricks and news about availability...

How about a mod makes a new sub-forum for gsync and gsync monitors instead of trying to kill the thread because one person has nothing better to do with their time

We're sorry we spammed your sub forum without directly copying stale, uninteresting crap nobody cares about from techpowerup.com.

News... hahaha
