gtx 770 cool lab ultra/pro

im aware of the risks but have had good expeiriences with clu...its a metal tim but will corrode aluminum i know the fins are aluminum but where the heatsink meets the gpu dye is it copper? just need to make sure it wont eat away the heatsink once applied lol

    which GTX770 model are you exactly using, stock cooler or ACX?
     
    I don't know what the stock cooler plate over the GPU looks like but this is the ACX version.
     

     
    it seems like the plate is metal so it shouldn't be damaged by the TIM you want to use.
    maybe you should read Scarlet-Tech's thread including metal TIM applying before you go on doing that.

    Yes theyre both acx coolers on my 770 so i should be good to go as long as i treat it like i did my 4770k die

    Just using it to bring temps down for sli once i get my 5960x and 880 sli (ty god i was able to hang on to my tax return) i plan to just run a custom loop anyway! The realist tells me ill never use those 8 cores for games not yet but the nerd says BUY IT ITS STRONGER itll be my first custom loop so wish me luck! Ty again guys!
