hi guys, just want to share something I found on the net regarding 4 way SLI. it seems that it's possible to 4 way SLI GTX780's with just a simple nv_disp.inf modification. what do you think about it? any one already tried it out, results? http://hwbot.org/newsflas...titan_records_in_sight

You have to use older drivers to do this. I believe the 320.00 BETA driver if I'm no mistaken. Thus you can't take advantage of newer driver optimizations/fixes and profiles. The thread you're referencing dates from 2013-07-29

yes, it is the 320.00 beta - I'm aware of the trade off.

When using the most optimized drivers, there is a Miniscule point gain during benchmarks with a 4 way setup, not to mention the price and extra power required just to push one more card.... Is it really worth the time, effort and backdated drivers to lose points overall and gain (possibly) nothing but bragging rights?

Wrong. You can 4-way SLI 780's, 770's & 760's now. You can even mix and match cards. Check it out here: http://www.overclock.net/...sli-on-geforce-gtx-780

Wrong? Oh? Where is this 'tool', that mysteriously seems to be nowhere? Further, that thread has nothing about running SLI on dissimilar cards. It's amazing that it hasn't spread like wildfire across the internet. How about some examples it works besides a a single 'valid' 3Dmarkrun? Or maybe you were referring to this which has been around awhile: http://www.techpowerup.co...ifferent-cards.158907/

Read the thread bro. You have to PM andressergio to get the tool. Andressergio claims he is the one with the valid run, he also claims the "tool" isn't a .inf mod.
andressergio Thanks bro but credits are not mine but for a team of Eng. So this is a treasure as nvidia blocked sli since ever now you can even sli dif cards did you know thats also blocked on driver ? I just tested for them and worked allowing it for all nvidia drivers
andressergio That is me anyone that needs the tool please PM me, it's not a inf mod
Cheers !!! Sergio
I read all that and I've followed the other threads. So he's the only one with the 'tool' and the only one with a supposed 3Dmark run that works. Nowhere on that entire site does anyone else validate his claims. I need more evidence before advising anyone to use something that is untested and unproven.

did someone already pm him for the tool? even if it's not an .inf mod it must somehow manipulate the current driver. no other way as far as I understand. update: just as assumed, the tool doesn't manipulate an .inf file but it patches a drivers .sys file.
