I'm adding my 3rd ASUS VG248QE monitor to my 780ti, question is I have 2 hooked up with Dual Link DVI and on the 3rd I was wondering can I hook it direct display port to display port? Or do I need to run display port out of the card and an adapter to Dual Link DVI?
Monitor connections are : Dual Link DVI, Display Port, and HDMI
Card: 2x Dual link DVI, Display Port, HDMI

I read somewhere that you need to run a Dual Link DVI to Display port adapter if your running these monitors, but not sure if that makes sense because it has a display port connection on the monitor.

Hi and Welcome to the forums...

As long as you're running in 2D mode, the Display port cable should work fine.

I bought this one to test 120hz 2D surround from one card and it was crap. The monitor hooked to it would turn to static when launching games. Could unplug the usb power and sometimes that would help it work properly again without a reboot, but most times had to reboot and reset up surround. If you find a decent one, please link me, as I would love to get another so I can surround on one card when a game doesn't support SLi surround. Thanks in advance. :)

The card should work fine with either a passive or an active adapter from DisplayPort to DVI Dual-link.  I've heard of issues with some Accel adapters, which could be your problem.  Generally, Startech's seem to work fine (again, word of mouth, no personal experience):

I didn't think the passive adapters would work for 120hz? I have a passive adapter on my wife rig,(Single 670FTW 2D surround) it works for 60hz 2D surround, but not 120hz. I also bought a passive one from Best Buy and it went straight back as it did the same thing, nothing over 60hz. I think it has to be Active adapter for 120hz. I could be wrong, maybe I just bought the wrong one 3 times. :P
