Hi All,

I'm having a problem which i'm having extreme difficulty in diagnosing. I've bought a GTX660 SC 3GB from EVGA and it was working ok for a couple of months. I then bought a new motherboard+cpu to further upgrade my computer.  My spec is:

MoBo: ASUS Z97-a
CPU: Intel i5 4670K
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance*
GPU: EVGA GTX660 SC 3GB (however Speccy says its 2047 MB?)
PSU: 600W

In typing this, I've noticed that my RAM is saying its @666MHz, however through bios it says it is 1333MHz, could this be one thing thats causing this?  Never mind I searched and found i had to double it.

I've already had an RMA on this card due to it not showing display when i boot up, which after getting a card back, i noticed that due to bios set as performance mode was causing it to not work. Setting everything back to default it worked fine. However after a little while i'm now getting more issues such as extreme FPS drop and freezing to blackscreens and display drivers stopping.
Example of frame drop would be: Playing FF14 on Desktop (high) with no changes is a solid 60FPS but now it barely gets 20.

I've tried a number of things from this website as a solution and i thought i cracked it, but the next day the issues returned. I'm currently on a previous driver 337.88, I've ran GPU-Z while playing and my card gets to about 70C on heavy load.

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

I've been to the ASUS website and downloaded the most up to date drivers i could find, i've also updated the BIOS. I've also done the clean install of only doing the Graphics and PhysX drivers for the version i've specified.

i got a similiar problem, but mine it gets many types of error.
I got a pink screen then the pc doesnt respond, sometimes the pc restarts at the middle of the game, sometimes i get a black screen and no response from the pc. i am really getting annoying with this card because it was a RMA card. Mine went to RMA because it was getting faulty and couldn't respond at high clocks and this one, i only have it for 1 to 2 weeks and i have this problem since day one.

    My specs:

    ASRock Z77 Pro3
    i5-3570k @ 4.3Mhz
    RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) GSkill Sniper @ 1600MHz
    GPU: EVGA GTX660 SC 3GB
    PSU: XFX TS550W 80Plus Bronze

even if i take the OC from the CPU the problem continue.
And i also tryed to do all the things told here and even went from Windows 8.1 to Windows 7 and even so the issue continue

Welcome to the forums..Uninstall EVGA Precision X/X 15, MSI Afterburner, Asus GPU Tweak or similar other utilities choosing not to save settings when prompted, then clean install the graphics driver and PhysX again..Uninstall AI Suite 3 if you have it and then clear CMOS with the jumper with the battery removed as described on page 1-23 of your mobo manual to reset factory defaults, make any custom BIOS changes needed upon startup (don't forget date/time), clean up the leftover/unused registry entries with CCleaner and go from there..Make sure the CPU isn't overheating.
