I would want to see the Evga boards, before any ASRock boards.

And only ASUS stays quiet. There's only X99-Deluxe leaked PDF manual and that's it.

I know, I find it quite odd that someone like ASUS keeping as quiet as they have been on their board offerings for X99.  I can't imagine they are that far behind in development?

Looks nice, ASRock and Gigabyte are the only brands I'm currently considering for my next motherboard.

    ASUS is motherboard god.
You will see when they launch ROG Dual Xeon board.

And only ASUS stays quiet. There's only X99-Deluxe leaked PDF manual and that's it.

They do that because they know most customers wait their boards.
Then people will start to fight and to hurry and ask constantly when they think to launch this model and that model,...

Re: ASRock Shares Pictures of Its X99 Extreme6 LGA2011 Motherboard 2014/08/25 20:06:52 (permalink)
Well Asus makes great boards no doubt. Evga has made great boards, but I'm still waiting for their next great.
Many people question AsRock, perhaps mostly based on the old days when they were the cheap alternative and part of Asus.
Well those days have changed IMO. I have used many manufactures boards. I would rank AsRock very high. An example would be A Z77 Asus  MAXIMUS V GENE with a 2600k, could never get over 4.4Ghz figured well I have a bum CPU and left it at that. At some point I came across a great deal om a new AsRock Z77 extreme 6. All the sudden 4.7Ghz was easy (air cooled) with exact same voltage etc as on the Asus. I have had great success with other AsRock platforms. Never had to deal with customer service. IMO Evga kicks butt there.
I don't care for the blue coloring myself, but the color isn't what makes a board good or not so good.
Point being I think it unfair to knock a company when you have no recent experience with them. (not that anyone was doing that)
Personally, I am willing to venture, and go with what works for me regardless of color.
    Just my .02.
