Now that is why I LOVE crunching... We all can support other teams and have fun without BLEH... We should think about making an all out team effort and participate. If we do, I am in. I will even fire up and dust off some old equipment that has been dormant  Bring on team....  P.S. Why is it showing our team in Japan on the Constellation site?

I like events because they get me to add new projects to my list. I've never run Constellation but I just signed up and am ready to go if we are participating.

I would like to bump this in hope we can get signed up. I know it is still over 2 weeks away, but I would like to take part in this. Hopefully there won't be as many outages during the contest as there has been lately.

At the time being, I'm ideling at POGS and GPUGrid. Since we have got an invitation from Our friends at [H] I think we should attend. And not only attend, I think we should do Our best. If all agree, I'll switch over With all iv'e got and do whatever I can to kick butt in this one. I will not go half hearted in this one if others do so. All or nothing now

I will run this months POTM over on WGC till this invitation from [H] and cuarc001 on the Constellation & [H]ard|OCP TrackJack challenge. I looks like we need to Join [H]ard|OCP I hope we can stay with our own team thought. I will stay with Crunching@EVGA but still run the POTM for each month of the COTM goes on.

We do not have to join [H] to participate in the challenge. One of our captains does need to sign Crunching@EVGA up for it though. Looking at the teams list, there are 14 teams that have signed up already, I don't see us on there yet.
The challenge start on 9-25-2014 and runs through 9-30-2014. So five days of running Constellation TrackJack tasks.

Yes. The problem with BOINCStats is that they list someone as the team Founder. From what I have seen, it is probably whomever currently holds the most team founder projects for the team. In our case, we have two team names so, Razor_FX_II is most likely the one to sign us up for the projects where we use HardOCP and I sign us up at the project where we officially use [H]ard|OCP. Kinda dumb how they do it, but it is what it is. And no, you do not have to join our team to participate if your team founder gets you signed up. Happy crunching.

I have to log in as Viper97 in the Constellation account I just created and see if I'm added to the team there. I've sent a PM to RHMash to either sign us up or transfer founder status if he can. Investigating BOINC stats now to see if I can do it.

^This is why I ran Constellation for a short while and then moved on. Large downloads, slow validation, some WU's take forever to finish, and the points you got for putting up with all that are really low. I just wasn't comfortable with all the downsides and moved back to my preferred Bio/Medical projects.

Viper97, let me know if BOINCStats is willing to transfer. It would be good to know in the future. I think BOINCStats determines the founder based on what user has the most projects under their belt as team founders. So if there were a total of 10 projects and someone was team founder of 6, they would be considered team founder at all 10 at BOINCStats. At least, that is how I understand it.

If you follow the link as provided by cuarc001, on the page there is a link just below the time Counter, that's what it says about this particular subject: How does a team join a team challenge?The founder of a team can enter a team into a challenge. The team founder (here on BOINCstats) is the person who is founder of the team in most projects. To check who is the team founder, find your team on the profile pages and go to the profile. The founder is listed on the team profile page. The team founder has a extra section in his BAM! menu (Team founder) and in that section he will find the Challenges. Once there everything is self explanatory. The team founder is assigned by an automated process, he can't be set manually! If your team has a separate admin account then create a BAM! account for this admin as you would for a normal user (so same email and password). Include all projects but do not attach hosts to it or use any of the managing functions other than the team functions. It will not link to any stats, only to the team it is a member of and it will show as founder, so your team can participate in challenges. Gathering/updating user information including founder status is done once a week during the night from Saturday to Sunday! Once a week because it's stressing the project servers.
