I do have a few questions though as far as performance of said parts. But first my setup:

800D
p55 FTW mobo 1156
Core i7 860 oc'd to 4ghz on water
Geforce GTX 480 HydroCopper on water
EVGA Super Nova 850w Gold
Swiftech D55 pump, one with speed control...
1x 360 Rad
1x 120 Rad
Black Tygon Tubing 3/8 5/8

I've been wanting to upgrade my video card for a while now, still rocks thru games, but it is now a limiting factor due to the low ram, 1.5gbs. What would be a reasonable upgrade?? Or Should I wait till the 800 series are out for a while and wait till most of the bugs will be fixed? Video card is about the only thing I'm willing to upgrade at the time being. maybe get a nice SSD to give the ol system a good boost in performance.

I've also been wanting to mod my 800D to fit a 480mm Rad up top as well. Mod a 240 on the bottom or front bottom in place of the hdd bays. If anyone has done this or knows how to do it easily, I don't feel like spending 100+ on grinding and other power tools etc

Also

This new Rigid Tubing. As far as I know the flow and head pressure is better than tubing? More or less using less tube compared to regular tubing with the bends.

Help is appreciated

I am not sure what you do with your card but here is its specs (http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-480/specifications) Now to inform you of how I check for card performance. I use texture fill rate and cuda cores. My advise to you would be to check those specs to see what you want .And not go any lower than this (http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-3773-KR) for newer games. One thing you have to remember do you want to sli later ? That is why I went with that size memory.

I don't play alot of newer games. mainly America's Army Proving Grounds, and rarely d3. Might hold off as long as I can though. Would really like a 20nm to be my next jump, and then wait another 7 years rofl

If you waited this long, I don't think several months would hurt to much on a new gpu. I am not sure about modding a 800D, but did you consider just getting a 900D and not modding?

Nooo if I did anything, i would spend $100 or so on cheap tools, mod my case to fit a 480 up top and be happy. my 120 rad on intake is almost not worth it being there. the filter blocks almost all air flow. even though my computer doesn't get that warm to begin with. Just have my cpu oc'd to 4ghz
