Sounds really great and all , but I'm not going to pay for them both again.  & Slightly ticked they only offered a 50% discount for previous owners of both games

    * Maybe wayyyy down the road I'll consider it on some kind of sale price for $15 or below , because they really are great SP games.

These games were cool enough that I'd consider playing through them again - not sure I'll get them day one though.  I'm with Steve - think I'm going to wait for it to drop in price.

well each of the  Redux games  are $24.99  each or  $49.95 bundled  on Steam  ad to account 50% discount if you already own them  and want to get them agian seperatly  you would get both for $24.95  so to me that is a deal  or bundled it is 25% discount  As it is right now the  Original versions of the game are   $14.99 for Metro 2033  and  then $19.99 for Metro last light  the original released versions  so thats  $34.95   .

you do realize it is more then just added pyhics right?

    as  it says on Steam

For Metro 2033 Redux, Metro 2033 has been rebuilt using the newest version of the powerful 4A Engine, last seen in action in Metro: Last Light. That means advanced lighting, dynamic weather, higher detail for characters with improved animation, more dynamic destruction, and improved smoke, fire, and particle effect.

Metro: Last Light Redux has also received a upgrade, including new melee animations and the fan-requested ‘Check Watch’ and ‘Check Inventory’ features. All previously released Metro: Last Light DLC will be included in this Redux version.

    New ways to play
Both Redux versions will now feature two modes of play: ‘Survival’ and ‘Spartan’Survival lets you play either game in Metro 2033's more survival-horror oriented style, with deadlier enemies, slower reloading, and more limited resources. Spartan lets you play either game in the Last Light style, with more polished combat and more plentiful resources.

Ranger Mode is included for free in both Redux versions, and can be combined with Survival or Spartan modes, leading to a total of four modes of play for each game.

Only Steam, Metro owners get a special discount to upgrade to the new Redux versions:
    • Metro 2033 owners can upgrade to Metro 2033 Redux for 50% off, and get 25% off the Metro Redux bundle.
    • Metro: Last Light owners can upgrade to Metro: Last Light Redux for 50% off, and also get 25% off the Metro Redux bundle.
    • Owners of both Metro games get 50% off the Metro Redux bundle

You're right in that Last Light Redux is next to useless for anybody that already owns the original, but as the previous poster delineated Metro 2033 Redux is on the new engine and IMO it really needed an overhaul.
It wasn't THAT gorgeous to have been so taxing.

Preordered the bundle a while ago for $25.  Last Light bundle probably isn't going to be much different but only one way to find out.  These guys deserve my money.

Semi-related note - I just bought the 'Season Pass' for Metro: LL  this morning as it was on sale for  $2.49  ( gives me all the packs for it. )

I am not sure about rebuying the games, but they did make games I did enjoy and that is very rare in this day and age...

This is a game that would benefit from Mantle, not PhysX. Especially since 4A Games seem to optimize their games by bashing them with a rock.

I thought original 2033 and LL have PhysX already.....

I use to run my 770 and 460 together and saw a difference in performance, I might put my 770 with my 750 TI (just bought it) as well and see what it can do.

anyway I bought the games for 50% off ($13 each) it was worth it to me after looking at what they changed in a trailer video. I'm a big time lover of bethesda's Fallout Series as well as GSC's Stalker series, so I had to love the metro game series as well. They are all along the same lines, post acopolitic radiation worlds.
