Well it's going to be ~$800 monitor. Although maybe ~$20 less than the MSRP could be possible given what one of the other re-sellers took preorders for.
As long as it's not higher than MSRP, I think the pricing will be what we all expect it to be.

yah it's all expensive when new tech first comes out, then drops pretty fast then after. I paid $600 for a 120hz 27" 3D Acer back in oct 2012 when they first came out. Not even 6 months later the priced dropped into the $400 range

I'm just excited because it may finally be a display that gets near CRTs fluid appearance lol. It took me forever to drop my CRT for an LCD (and I've actually never owned a TN panel monitor before) simply because I couldn't stand how much worse they looked. I believe this is a HUGE step in the right direction. It's just sad it's taken so long for us to get to this point.

This was my issue too. I was bringing a CRT to lan parties up to 2010. I got some pretty funny looks from people.... lol

Yeah, the price was right from them. Hopefully we don't have to deal with any return issues - but even then, it sounds like we'd just need to contact Asus first...

I have not had any experience with Asus RMA or warranty services. From what my friend told me about his experience with having to return his asus video card for an RMA didn't sound bad at all.
Not sure the process with their monitors.
I was talking to Jacob on twitter, Asking him they should really think about being the first to make a 34-36" EVGA Gsync monitor =)
that way I wouldn't feel like such a traitor =)
