why does this forum hate embeding videos...

It doesn't, you just don't understand the syntax used.

How do you configure 3 displays plus an single accessory display?
Crysis 3 @ 5760x1080

Go to the website below for your two 670's.

http://www.geforce.com/ha...nd/system-requirements

and of course you'll need a fourth monitor.

I'm running tri 580's on triple 30's in portrait at 4800x2560 res in surround SLI. Trying to add a 4th monitor, my Cintiq that has a 1600x1200 resolution. I can't figure it out. I tried adding another nvidia card, external DVI to usb, even an AMD card and they don't work. It just grays out the 4th monitor. Each monitor is plugged into 1 card. Should I change the configuration to make it work?

Have you checked the Nvidia Control Panel under Displays "Setup Multiple Displays" and made sure that all displays are selected?
I had to tick the 4th monitor when I had first setup my accessory display.

According to the NVIDIA System Requirements website it looks like it suppose to work in Portrait mode.

I'm a little confused by the configuration picture for my set up. So basically, I need a 4th card for the accessory display?

I believe you can just get away with running 2 GPU's in SLI for 3 monitors and then your 3rd GPU for the accessory monitor as I am doing right now.

You may need a 4th GPU if you feel that what you are getting isn't what you expect or hoping to get with by running only 2 GPU's for the surround video. (that is all the eye candy stuff and maybe fps)

I'm building up a new screen. This one will fit in a regular room yet be portable. 10 foot wide x 5 foot deep uniform 180 degree circular screen. 60" projection height x 180" width. No idea what the vertical measurement is, but I'm sure someone can whip up the math.

It'll be Eyefinity 2x1L 2560x800. Being the screen is that resolution FPS should fly on my 7970 Matrix Platinum.
This is half of the screen frame. The other half gets built tomorrow and then on goes the screen material.

Forgive the lack of window trim. The room is getting painted and trimmed while I'm doing this build.

This was really useful  I have never came across the config on nvidia's website before. WIN!

Seems I have 1 monitor in the wrong port. Does it really make much of a difference?

Finally testing my new screen. The frame is still a work in progress. Needed to test it to find my projector mount locations.

A random joyride I took in my friend's F-4 sim last week. It's got a basic 3 panel triple projection setup running Eyefinity 3x1L on one of my old 5870 E6 cards. Two of the projectors are my old ones I used back in 2010 before upgrading to my GT720's.

A bit more progress on my new screen today. The projectors are fix mounted now and I added in a 24" LCD panel for desktop work. The top and bottom panels and the side curtains get blacked out in the next day or so.

Edit: Two new videos I did testing camera location and settings.

Man, the thread dropped off the first page? I'm sure there has to be some new cool surround display setups around here.

My screen was set up for AVSIM Fancon 2013. Here is a quick pic.

Playing Rift and Dirt 3 today. Happily noticed Rift is now free-to-play, so that's one less MMO subscription for me to have.

A bit of Star Trek Online.

Re:Surround Gaming Club (AMD Eyefinity and NVIDIA Surround) 2014/08/20 05:15:10 (permalink)
I need an advice, I have 3 ASUS monitors:
  1. PB287Q: 4K 28" (at home)
  2. VG278H: 1080p 27" 3D (at home)
  3. VE278Q: 1080p 27" (at work)
My question is, should I go through the hassle of bringing the VE278Q from work and run NVIDIA Surround with the 4K monitor in the middle and the two 1080s on the sides? Or Surround will have problems due to the huge difference in resolutions between 4K and 1080p? Should I go for it or just settle with my current (extended desktop) between the two monitors at home?
