I'm looking to try SLI to see if I can get some better fps for a modded skyrim. Right now I'm getting 30-45 fps average with heavy mods and an ENB. Would a 2nd card help with that when only playing on a single monitor at 1080p? Is it worth it? Would I see any benefit at all?

Maybe this will help a bit.  >>  http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-660-ti-benchmark-review,3279-9.html
It's not a 670, but it will give you an idea of the increase in fps with that game at your resolution.

Thanks but that doesn't really help. I can get 60-100 fps on ultra with out mods and ENB's. I'm looking for some personal experience with sli and a modded skyrim.

im running a ton of mods on skyrim with the same setup as u for you GPU.  I see 60 FPS almost everywhere.  As always, you will always get better performance with SLI.  Refer to the link for some help http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php?gid=1542&gid2=880&compare=geforce-gtx-670-sli-vs-geforce-gtx-780

Well now that the 900 series is about to be announced this month, is it still better to get another 670? or just get 1 980? Also I have the 670 ftw+ 4gb card. I see 670 superclocked 4gb on ebay. Will that work well for SLI or do they both have to be FTW+ cards?
