I personally have a 1300W G2, and have been using it heavily for around 5 months with no issues.

(vsg28 is correct, meant G2 not P2. Still, it works great!)

    ^ You mean a 1300G2 :p

OP: The G2/P2 /T2 series of PSUs are based off the Superflower Leadex platform, confidently buy them without hesitation. The 1000P2 should also have the eco mode feature allowing fan less operation at low load.

Having said that, if you are going to be running the GPU on air then the 1000P2 is not really necessary. The 750G2 or 850G2 should be more than enough and save you money to get the 800 series GPU!

I definitely agree with vsg28.  Great power supplies.  There's nothing wrong with going to a 1000w, if you really want the extra wattage, but your system will be more than adequately powered with a 750w or 850w psu.

I have some simple questions to ask on my new 1300w G2. The supplied VGA cables are 4 x (1) 8 pin and 2 x 8 pin + 6 pin. I like to Run and Overclock High Performance Video cards. These cards all Require 2 x 8 pin power cables. With the current cable allotment that would power 3 video cards. Here is a link I pick up to help determine the AMPS that a part is pulling . You can be under the wattage required but be over on the amps require.
My question is : I have a Corsair RM850 and a Thermaltake  1200W TR2 with VGA cables that are 8 + 8 pin. If I use these cables, as they fit in the PSU's VGA socket, will they work???
Is my PSU still covered under Warranty?????

    MaddMutt,

Using modular cables from a different manufacturer's power supply is typically not recommended, as they may be wired slightly differently, and it is possible it could cause damage to your components.

That power supply would carry a 10 year warranty for the original owner from the purchase date. Info on what is and is not covered by the warranty can be found here: http://www.evga.com/support/warranty/

I can confirm that the Corsair and EVGA pin outs are pretty different, not sure about the TT unit. So I wouldn't use those cables with the 1300G2. Unless benching hard with high voltages, you will be just fine with the daisy chained PCI-E cables.
