Got a Dell xps 18 i7 edition for the kitchen and I freaking love it.  I will find myself working on it, then grabbing it off its stand and taking it to the couch....  I feel so dirty.  Could windows 8 or 9 actually have a place in our lives?  I actually use the touch me apps.  OMG!

    Its still a PC, theyre meant for flexibility and user choice :)

    It does look very good, but it is a bit costly.

    RJ I had a ton of credit at the Dell store so just picked one up for cheap.  It's really fun.  My son loves it he had the biggest smile when he touched the screen and it responded.

    Heh ... we've got a couple of Dell all-in-ones at work, and it does mean that suddenly some parts of Windows 8 start making sense (although I'm not sure how long until "gorilla arms" start developing!).   I must admit, the compact size of the all-in-ones is certainly appealing...

    I've said it before, Windows 8 does in fact work well when you use it on a touch device. The problem is when you try to use it as a desktop OS...then it falls apart.

    It is the best for a touch screen, even on phones. But on a desktop, no.

    people saying it doesn't work on a desktop are the same people that have never really used it. I'm forced to use windows 7 at home and it feels slow and old. I use 8.1 Pro at home and lets just say, 7 can't hold a candle to 8.1

    Yes they are, I got one for my sister for her kitchen less then a month ago and she stopped using her old XP Desktop computer.
