Hi Guys,

Last night I finally got to install the Dell UltraSharp 32 Monitor | UP3214Q 4K LCD Screen.

I'm running this LCD with 2 x EVGA Geforce Titan Blacks SC Cards.
The first game I choose to load was Titan Fall.... to say the least I was not happy with it... I can't put my finger on it and did not have time to look at GPU usage etc.. but it appeared Choppy?

Can anyone else comment on this? is it just this game?  Now I'm 95% sure I'm going to off load the 4k Monitor n go back to my 30" Dell.

Cheers

I do not think Titian fall uses SLI or if it does not very well.

I would try some other games to give more data points.  Titanfall might be part of the issue.  Not to sound dumb but are using the Displayport cable?  Do you know if DP1.2 is enable by default?  On my ASUS 4K, it was not so had to make sure to enable to get the 60Hz refresh rate.  Are you using the EVGA Pro SLI bridge by chance?  I know early production had issues with resolution such as 4K with increased flickering.  Is your 3970X overclocked?  Are you running PCI 2.0 or did you do the force enable patch to get 3.0 speeds?

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for your suggestions... YES Titan Fall is a non SLI game, maybe it will use 0 - 10 % of GPU 2nd Card...

trabe3, thanks for your comments.. I think you've solved it for me... YES I am using the Display Port Cable that come with the monitor, HOWEVER I now realise I've forgot to enable DP1.2.. I know for a fact this is disabled from unpacking from the BOX...

I hope this helps.  I'll try this afternoon when I get home from work.

Sorry my current Signature is out of date I'm running a whole new system, I'm not using the EVGA Pro SLI Bridge.

Hope the switch to DP1.2 solves the issue.  Running the default DP1.1 will only give 30Hz refresh rate, which I can imagine would look pretty choppy as you mentioned.  Good luck and let us know what you find.
