I'm liking all the attention this matter has been receiving lately. Hopefully this will prevent these kind of things from happening in the future, That is except for the ones that do it to get something out of it (The kid that left his son in the car while he was at work).

The jury is still out on that one.

Where I live it is now legal to bust a window open if you see a child locked in a car on a hot day. There have been a couple of deaths around here in the past couple of years as well.

Well my dad it in the Texas summers, he'd take me to the junk yard, crack the windows, and be back in 1-2 hours, and leave me with my toys and coloring books. I didn't die in a car with 100+ outside temps, kids today are just so pampered they can't handle a little heat. I grew up without AC in the home or in the cars, couldn't afford it, I also did other things considered dangerous, I ran around without shoes, drank from a hose, in swam in a stagnant river. Maybe toughen up these kids so they can take a little heat or stop having them.

You are ignorant. Small children and infants die from extreme dehydration inside of hot cars because of their low body weight and high turnover of water and electrolytes.....not because they are not tough enough. On a 100°F day the temperature in a car with cracked windows can exceed 130°F. They die because of negligence, not lack of toughness.

I'm in my 20s and I cry when the room temperatures go above 75F... poor kids, can't imagine being left in the car 100F+ temperatures

I had a cup of McDonald's ice water in my black truck in the morning and at 3 pm I felt how hot it was, I say it was degrees away from scalding temps, Im tough with thick plumber hands and it was hot on my fingers and I live north of 60.
