    That would be great!  My battery time increased with my LG G2 to about four day standby (depending on use) from two days with my HTC One X.  Even doubling that would be incredible.  To triple is unthinkable, especially for smart phones

    Smartphone batteries, only?
     
    The battery industry could really use a facelift of innovation, especially since sales of Tesla Motor vehicles exploded in the EU and soon Asia.

    Yes the Tesla uses small batteries in power cell. But not Cell Phone type. Double A if not mistaken.

    The only issue I see with this is that the companies that already make batteries may fight this.  It will cost them a lot of money on the long end, and losing profits isn't going to go down easy!
