So you are saying it's okay to steal even if it's from a huge multi-billion dollar company?  Alrighty then....

thats like being mad that Luke attacked the Empire, Apple is an evil empire, they own nothing they didn't steal from someone else first

Like it or not, Apple is a publicly held company that issues stock that shareholders buy.   Apple is not an entity, nor a group of gray haired guys who sit around a table and count their money.

When someone steals from Apple, or any other company, it has an effect on the value of the company and the dividends (profits) that it pays out to their share holders and what they can afford to pay their employees.   Anyone who owns any kind of mutual fund or annuity probably, whether they like it or not, owns some of Apples stock.  Apple stock is part of  most retirement plans and 401Ks.

I am tired of people talking about a company as if it is a living being.  It is not.  It is a company of hard working individuals that are trying to make a living just as most everyone here is.  I am also tired of people who think it is OK to take from someone else whether it is an individual, a large corporation or a small company just because someone has decided that they can "afford" it or because they feel entitled to take it because "they don't need all of that" or "they won't miss it" or some other lame excuse to take something  from somebody or something that doesn't belong to them whether from outright stealing, or trying to make someone who EARNS their money pay more taxes to give it to someone who doesn't EARN anything.

If you want something, then go out and EARN THE MONEY TO PAY FOR IT and stop complaining that you don't have it and someone else does. Or worse, you go steal it because you feel entitled to do so.

For the record, The only Apple product I have is an IPod.

As much as I hate Apple as a company, I am glad the guy got caught and I hope he faces some serious jail time. Imagine being in a store behind this guy, and having to deal with the extreme wait, just knowing he is milking the system.
