hi mates, just bought another classic retro silver casio "lost mine in a burglary, got my chevy windshield all busted and stuff", i heard somewhere on the web that the w159 is a clone, if it has red or multicolor backlight it would confirm, but if it had a green backlight the thing should be legit, the frame is metallic unlike many fake clones,  doesn't feel cheap at all, actually much more comfortable than the one i lost "w158", here's the pics :

The thing with the tag, notice the weird buckle mechanism, it exists in other models from casio.

The green backlight, some say it is normal for it to shine through from the side especially if it was an old production model, as seen here :

The model no. and serial number in the tag :

the unusual buckle mechanism, again it exists in many other models, fits quite well actually, holds snugly on the wrist.

feels legit, works well unlike ripoffs that usually skip 5 minutes every day, this thing never missed a second!
any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you for checking out this thread :)

Personally I have always felt that the backlight on that model was terrible and much prefer the Timex indiglo.

I've had one of these long ago and that one appears to be genuine, backlight and all.

Thank you guys for the info, sorry about the confusion, if you noticed that one of the pictures uploaded "my friggin hand" and my corsair k70 is right behind it, if you notice that the b keys' backlight is off, while the rest of the keyboard is lit in the pic, the super-bright flash seemed to cause that illusion.
