I have decided to return my 850 G2 for this model after reading this thread and some reviews. I am a little concern about the red pci cables though. I don't know if it's gonna look ok in my case or not. I guess I'll see tomorrow when it gets here.

very nice rig, the 1000P2 seems to be about 20cm long (850W G2 is 18cm as far as I know).
this may be a probles in some rigs using smaller cases.

I just swapped out my old cooler master psu with one of these EVGA power supplies and I feel the same way. Excellent PSU and great quality product.

Well, I too have just ordered a 1000P2.
I am currently running an ax850, which in all honesty, is overkill for what I am running atm, but I am in need of a PSU for my router I am building. And since my server could use a PSU with more sata power connections, why not just put the ax850 in the server, and the Capstone 450 in the router?
Nothing like being way over build in everything huh?
I plan to add some more GPU's to my system in the not too distant future, so this should work out.
Can't wait for it to come in!!

Eventhough I have the G2 version since November 2013, it is an amazing piece of hardware. Headroom is the for a second GPU if I ever go that route. My only complain is that the cables for the GPUs are red and the rest is black. Not that its a problem, but sometime I look at the rig and kinda makes me says DAMN, but that is a visual thing more than a performance issue, so no problem.
