Just bought a Classified ACX 780ti. New rig, turned it on for the first time, no display. Does this have to do with just my GPU?

Welcome to the forums...in order to help diagnose what could be wrong, please list most details of your system, being as specific as possible. It might be a BIOS incompatibility with the motherboard. Make sure it is the latest and if not update it. Does your CPU have integrated graphics?

If your CPU has integrated Graphics use your display output on your motherboard and download the drivers off of the Nvidia website.

Speedrookie If your CPU has integrated Graphics use your display output on your motherboard and download the drivers off of the Nvidia website. The issue appeared to be before Windows, so this wouldn't help. Even if he was able to get into Windows using the integrated video to download the drivers, he wouldn't be able to install them, as Windows would issue an error stating that it could not find compatible hardware. The monitor must be on the graphics card for the drivers to be installed.

I'm having the same problem. My motherboard has onboard graphics. So by removing the EVGA 760 card entirely, I was able to install windows and get online, and I tried to install the drivers for the video card, but I couldn't becauase it wasn't installed. When I put the card back into the system I get NO video output from ANY channel: DVI, HDMI, Display Port, VGA. On the card and on the motherboard. I tried them all. No output. No error message. Here's the motherboard I'm using- Here's the video card
Any ideas?

The card should just run in VGA mode without drivers installed when you first install it in the system. If you cannot get any video right off the bat, then installing the drivers isn't going to solve this. Doublecheck that the fans are spinning on the card, and that all of your power connectors from the PSU are securely attached. You may also want to try testing the card with a different system, or in a different pcie slot in your board. Also testing a different GPU in that system would help to at least confirm the source of the issue, as it may just be the card itself is not working correctly.

So I grabbed an older card and dropped it in, and have no problems with it. It's an older EVGA 9300gtx. I'm using it right now on the DVI out. When I tested the 760 both fans were spinning, so it's not just dead. It was all plugged in. the 8 pin and the 6 pin. I can try testing it out on another machine tomorrow I suppose. What do I do if it works? What if it doesn't?

@ProfessorTallguy..You should start your own thread instead of posting your issue in someone elses thread..Please read (the second paragraph of) the Posting Guidelines..I'm just sayin' you'll receive more help that way..There's also The ultimate starter-thread for new members that's worth a read. Also, you should make a signature listing your hardware and OS..Go to User Control Panel at the top of this page, then under the Edit Profile tab select Signature and Comment..Check always attach signature to post. You can't post links yet because you need more than, hmmm, 10 posts I think (I forget now). Welcome to the forums btw.

This is super weird, but I borrowed my brother's identical card; it worked right away. I installed the drivers, and put mine back in and it worked. No explanation. Thanks for your help though, everyone.

Sounds like it may have not been seated in the PCIe slot correctly.

I know, but if it weren't seated correctly, I would have thought that the fans wouldn't spin, OR, it would have worked one of the previous 6 times I tried to re-seat it.
