Well, It is indeed a hot car... I mean, I've seen a bunch of people flaming it because they said they copied most of the stuff from certain cars, I don't know... Indeed a fiery topic.

Ouch....very sad. I am glad the driver was uninjured. I wonder if the li-ion batteries were too blame. Well, back to the drawing board lol.

Sucks. I normally do not associate Honda and performance together. Great cars that run forever. Much better than any GM product.

I love Hondas (all 3 of my cars have been Acura).  They are great cars and very reliable.  The only US manufacturer I would consider right now is Ford (you would have to pay me to drive a GM at this point).

According to TopGear BBC a lot of new prototypes and even finished super cars catch fire. They even had a few catch fire while they tested them. Hammond's private Porsche was recalled after a few weeks.

Yes, that is why they have prototypes, so they can work out the kinks and figure out what works and what doesn't.  In this case....something didn't work quite right.

RJ you made my post sound off-topic and unwarranted lol :P. As long as you know it wasn't originally intended so I'm cool with leaving it there

Ya I saw a video of that and was very surprised. Like kaninja said its a prototype so it gives the automaker room for improvements. I am glad other races/drivers on the track were not hurt from it from what I am aware of.

I was expecting it to smoke the competition.  I suppose it met my expectations with frying colors.
