It's outstanding that people like you out there have the skills and knowledge to do this. That level of modding is beyond me XD! Most difficult mod I've ever done was adding a frontlight to a GameBoy Color :P.

Thanks Solar! It was scary experimenting with these cards, but who says pushing limits isn't Scary :0) Not everyone wants to take such risks, so they can always buy the completed mod and just plug and go!

Thanks again for all the help and for selling me the brackets . The instructions are awesome and I was able to do the mod without any complications. Next in line is Maxwell...lol .

@mayanjedi Sorry for the thread necro, but is there any chance you could make a 690 single-slot bracket for me? I need my 5th post for PM'ing privileges (this one), but will send one for instructions on the port removal afterwards.

I am totally doing this next year after my Titans go out of warranty. If successful, I will have 3x dedicated compute GPUs taking up only 3 slots, and still be able to fit a dedicated sound card and 2x of the latest and greatest GPUs for gaming.
 
EVGA, you should also really consider producing GPUs like this for us water coolers!
