Will the new R9 290X fit in the Hadron?

It says that it's 10.9 inches, which I think comes out to larger than what the hadron can fit. Just wanted to double check.

Good morning,
I can confirm that the R9 290X will not fit in the Hadron case. The product is to long at 10.9''.
Our full line of single reference GPUs will fit just fine:
GTX Titan -> will fit 10.5"
GTX780Ti -> will fit 10.5"
GTX780 -> will fit 10.5" (not Classified version)
GTX770 -> will fit 10.5"

I can confirm that the reference R9 290x does indeed fit the Hadron case.

Nope! It was really simple.
I ran all the wiring first and ensured that none of it was touching the front of the case, then I put the display connection side of the card in first followed by the rear. The tolerances are very close but the rear has a few millimeters before it touches the case.

I can also confirm that the R9 290X fits inside the Hadron Case. I have the PowerColor LCSR9 290X (basically an overclocked reference board design with the EKWB full coverage block and backplate factory installed) and it's not even a tight fight. The PCB itself on a reference R9 290X is actually 10.5 inches, it's the reference AMD cooler that actually makes it closer to 11.0 inches, as it hangs over the PCB on the back side of the card.
Actually, if you really know how to finesse the card in there, the Hadron can fit up to 11.0 inches worth of card in there. It's not surprising that EVGA claims otherwise though, since they only make Nvidia cards and would much rather have you buy one from them.

Sorry for the thread necro, but you said (Jfeil) that if you worked a bit, you could get an 11 inch card in here? Any chance I could get you to measure the space and make sure? I want to try and cram my watercooled 690 into one for a totally bada$$ little rig.

timerwin63, I can INDEED confirm that a GTX 690 will fit, my roommate has one in his Hadron. There's a hitch, though. While it was a serious exercise in patience and Tetris abilities to do so, the PSU isn't enough to power a GTX 690. My roommate has a 650w 1U PSU that he ordered online installed in his case to power the 690, which is the route I'm about to go to power a Titan-Z (although I need 750w+, but same principal). So yes, it will fit. Power? Another story.

That's amazing. Power isn't a big deal, as I have a 750w 1u from an HP rack. (I think) That, or it was the IBM rack. Dunno. I assume it'll be easier to get the GPU in there without the HDD cage in? I pulled mine out the other day to clear up some space.

If you're really looking forward to it, should I tell you that it's going to have a custom water loop in it? Mind you, this is a Hadron Air.
