Why are you playing settings on low?
You need to go more in to depth also. How long are you playing? what are the Temps in your room?

Is there a reason you bought a high tier GPU and are playing at low settings? Anyways, along with what everyone else has said, what case do you have and how adequate is airflow? Is cable management an issue? Have you set up a fan profile?

This is a strange post as generally 71C under load is pretty good temperature wise.

That's actually a fairly good point. The rest of the information would be very helpful if the OP has follow-up questions, but 71C is a perfectly fine load temperature.

My case is a Lian-Li PC-A-77F (3x 120mm front, 2x 120mm top, 2x 120mm rear push/pull - H50), X58 E770, i7-970 3.2GHZ, DDR3 24GB ram, EVGA GTX 780ti Classified Dual ACX, Corsair AX1200 psu, Corsair H50. I'm running everything at stock, no OC on any of the components. Whenever i'm on BF4 precisionX shows my temps as 71c, my game settings are set thru the NVidia experience program. Can't say what my room temps are as I don't have a thermometer in my gaming room. So i'm at lost as to why my temps are so high on low settings. Would like to play on ultra but am hesitant due to temps being so high even on low. Do have a question regarding precision, on the fan curve setting there's a box where you put a check. What's the difference between having the check and not having it, tried it both ways didn't really see any difference in performance.

Those are not 'high temps'. The default fan profile tries to keep the GPU around 80C under a full load. So a 'normal' full load temperature is ~80C. You're well under that. The GPU, without using any sort of utility, will control it's own temperature to ~80C first by increasing the the fan speed then throttling the GPU clocks. You're not going to damage your GPU using the stock settings. Using the custom fan setting in Precision won't make much difference considering how low your temps already are. Normally the fan starts noticeably increasing using the stock fan profile controlled by the BIOS at around 72-75C. When you check the box in Precision, it will use the fan curve you set by moving the little square boxes. The default fan curve is fairly close to the stock fan profile. As your temps are low under load, that is why you're not seeing any difference using Precision versus letting the GPU automatically control it's temperature.

As what was said, those temps are definitely nothing to worry about. You have a high end GPU that will boost itself as much as possible. It is going to have higher temps no matter what. Is the reason you are running at low settings is because you are scared of temps? If you are worried about temps, then you would need to bump down to a lower tier GPU that run cooler, but will also see a large decrease in performance. Having a more aggressive fan curve will also lower temps a great deal. So, set a fan curve, increase settings to max quality, and enjoy gaming. 80 degrees and lower is perfect for that GPU. Running low settings on a Ti makes me want to run my fingernails on a chalkboard, though.

At this time, I can confirm that 71c is well within tolerances under load for your card. If you feel that you're experiencing an issue, you can contact us either by phone or through email support ( support@evga.com) and we'll see what we can do.

"low settings" with this card is rather peculiar in my mind. Why are you playing the on low settings? All that is going to do is give you a terrible view at really high frame rates.
You are worried about normal or below normal operating temps that most people get, because your card is performing exactly as it should.
Remove NVidia experience, because you haven't set it properly and it isn't helping you. It is bloatware in the end. Go into the setting in battlefield and set it to High or Ultra preset and then tweak for best performance.
If your temps rise to mid/high 80's, then we will work on making them better.

I wasn't going to post on this topic however it seems so odd I couldn't resist I believe my temps hit 66-72 on Ultra in BF4 depending on the room temps if the room temp is 23-25 I get high 60's, 28+ I'll get 70's usually
Unless my 780 Ti was throttling I wouldn't care if it hit 80-82C

Is he trolling or is he just lazy and did not update his Mods Rigs System? His build currently sais he has: Graphics CardEVGAGTX-295 Co-Op 017-P3-1295-AR GPU Frequency: DefaultShader Frequency: DefaultMemory Frequency: DefaultSLI: Yes Well if that is what he has then no (Deleted for foul language) he is getting 71c and can only play on Low. Just to provide more evidence on my theory is that he has not replied to any in his own thread.

In response to your post, i'm the one who help build his system. And yes he hasn't updated the specs in his profile because he's not a frequent visitor on the forums. If you had taken the time to read his post above with the new updated system you wouldn't sound so stupid for making such a dumb remark.
