i am more interested in the controller.  Do you think that the Shield controller will work for PC's?  I know they promote it to connect to the tablet.

Idk why nvidia woudnt release a attachable controller too. Just do what the razer edge pro did. The new shield tablet pretty much destroys all the portability the shield had. I would buy one day 1 if that happened. But the last thing i want to do is carry around a tablet and a controller then try to find some place to lay it down. Its not like you could just take the thing out and play it where ever you want. If they released a attachable controller then nvidia would have met both markets interested in the shield tablet. The tablet people would have gotten a tablet and the gamers would have gotten a portable gaming platform.

I'm actually looking forward to this.  Almost pre-ordered it right now, but am going to wait just a bit to see if EVGA is going to have their own version.

Nvidia is going to sell it themselves for once. No one else is going to be able to make it.

I can confirm that this is an Nvidia exclusive item, at this time.

Would have been nice to have an EVGA version, but oh well.

I kind of wanted the shield when it first came out, but not enough.  Over time I kept looking at it and wanting it more, but then wanted to wait for the next one with the K1 processor.  And when I first read about this, I didn't want it either, I wanted a shield 2.  But then I started looking at it more and wanting it more mainly because I don't even have a tablet yet.  So this will be a nice, reasonably cheap tablet for me that I can also game on like the shield.

My only complaints about the tablet looking at the specs so far (but can live with): 32 bit, 2GB of RAM, and only n WiFi and not the new ac WiFi.
