With the arrival  of spring discovered a loud fan noise
replaced the stock amd 965bk cooler with a artic 64  that wasnt in service
so it appears the loud whine is from the 46o
 
system is several years old,
case has a top fan 140mm, rear 120mm fan, and a side fan  120mm
powersuppy is a 650 corsair
 
installed several different pieces of software to check temps
and the load temps look to be within range
 
so would like a bit of advice

I will certainly pick up a can of silicon spray this weekend.
I regularly dust the systems, perhaps at least once every six week, monthly if i stay on top of it.
 
I was curious if i should remove the plastic housing mounted around the fan, not really sure of the overall condition of the  heatsink.
That being asked I wouldnt want to void my warranty on the unit.  And wish i would have registered the 560, laziness never pays.
