I just thought I would post a couple of pix of my rig which is named "Evolution" because it started out life as a Packard Bell 6810 SLI which I bought in 2006 when it was a very high end machine. The mobo started to die in 2009 and I decided to find out how to replace it. Gradually more of the parts disappeared or were incorporated into rebuilds and now there's nothing left of it!
I won't bore you with too much detail but the basic specs are -
Case Coolermaster HAF-X
CPU i7 4960X
Mobo MSI Big Bang Xpower II
SSD OCZ Vector 512 GB
SSD 2 OCZ Revodrive 3 240GB
HDD - something with 500GB, Hitachi I think
RAM 32GB G.Skill Trident X 1600Mhz (8 x 2)
GPU GTX 690 x 2 with FC690 water blocks and backplates
PSU EVGA Supernova 1000 G2
Custom Watercooling Loop

Thanks guys! I don't know why but when I tried to add 3 attachments to the post it only showed one. Now there is no button for attachments - are we restricted to one photo a day?

The colour was actually decided by my previous mobo, an ASUS Maximus IV Extreme - Z.

Just to make you all shudder - a couple of months ago I swapped the 3930K CPU for a 4960X and I DROPPED the 3930K as I was removing it! It only fell about half an inch but the plastic corner took a glancing blow at the socket pins with the result below. When I tried putting the new CPU in anyway the debug LED showed "FF". Anyway I read as much as I could about repairing pins and with some good advice about the mobo the last photo shows it back to normal. The pin which looks shiny isn't bent, it is just where the tweezers have removed surface tarnish. I never want to go through that hell again

Really hurts to see that with the pins.

I just kinda blinked and thought "maybe that wasn't as bad as I thought it was" then looked at it with a magnifying glass and just groaned. The worst bit was that I had to dismantle the whole rig to get at it. It was hell.
