Just wanted to add a note that I'm having the same problem. Ticking sound coming from the fan when the computer first boots...seems to stop when the fan kicks on.

Got my Hadron last week, using it with ASUS Maximus VI Impact motherboard and ASUS GTX760 video card.

Well I have the same problem as described here. Ticking goes away after a few minutes though. I have a Asus Maximus VI Impact motherboard. What is starting to bother me more is that I have contacted Europe tech support two weeks ago without answer

Guys, i could solve almost totally the problem of my PSU noise.
I found that the noise was the psu fan, so I turned the case upside down leaving the back facing up, unscrewed the metal cover that sits on the back of the case (exhaust PSU fan) and removed part of the round seal to access spindle lock the propeller, and applied a little of the product WD40 (spray lubricant) leaving it work for a few minutes.
Put the seal back, screwed back the metal cover, returned the case to the normal position, power on... and bingo! Noise decreased by almost 80% :thumb:

As you can see in both videos:

I can confirm that PSU that came with brand new case from RMA doesn't have a ticking sound problem anymore. :) :)

I am still deciding whether to get this case or not. Was it worth all the hassle of RMAing? I'm afraid I will get a bad psu. I am trying to build a silent rig. May I ask if your computer is loud?

Not much louder than my previous Cooler Master HAF X build. I don't have instruments to measure how many dB.

I just built my rig and the rattling noise is present. I started an RMA and hope to get a PSU that doesn't exhibit this noise. I see some people saying "it's normal", but quite honestly I don't think it is. Also, it gets extremely annoying when you're trying to work on your machine and concentrate. The noise sounds like a noisy mechanical drive when it's seeking. I hope EVGA rectifies this and send me a good unit.

I built my rig about 2 weeks ago. I don't think there's a rattling noise for me, unless you're talking about the slightly buzzing of the machine. Can you describe the rattling, so that I can see if I have it? The only problem I noticed was that the fan is really loud when I first start the computer.

The noise sounds like a mechanical hard drive when it's seeking, almost like a buzzing noise. That's not a normal sound for a PSU. Also, it happens intermittently, not only when the machine is under load.

I just received my replacement unit today and swapped it out. It was a lot easier than I expected. The new PSU is whisper quiet and no ticking whatsoever. EVGA thanks for the awesome support!

I am having the exact same issue. The clicking is driving me nuts. It's the only thing I can hear in the room and I can't stand it. I really don't want to RMA it...
