I've been trying to update the drivers for my EVGA GTX 770 OC and I'm having issues. I've tried a clean install using driver sweeper in safe mode, I've tried the clean install option in the Nvidia driver installation, that fails completely. I've downloaded and installed the 337.50 update, and it says it has installed but the driver update version doesn't change and still says there is a update avaliable. I have attached some images of my issue, any help would be appreciated.    PC specs are: i5 4670k @ 4.0Ghz 8GB Ram EVGA 2GB gtx 770 OC edition

As the most recent certified version is 335.23. It is possible this just an error in the gforce experience program. I would just ignore it.

Your driver installed, its the GeForce Experience that is broken... it should NOT be used. Go to Control Panel/program and features--> and uninstall the Geforce Experience component *do NOT uninstall anything else After the uninstall is complete, REBOOT (do NOT skip this reboot) --------------------------- Should fix you up  ------------------- In the future NEVER use "cleaning" programs is Safe Mode, when using Windows 8.1 It does not work and can break things You must always download your driver manually from Nvidia Always use the CUSTOM Mode install (never use the "express install") UNCHECK -ALL- Nvidia driver components EXCEPT for--> Graphics driver and PhysX DO--> put a checkmark in "perform a clean install" Always reboot the system ONCE after installing a Nvidia driver -ALWAYS-

Thanks for the help, I uninstalled GeForce experience as stated and rebooted. My driver version in device manager still says 9.18.13.3523 I originally did download the 337.50 driver from the Nvidia website and tried to install that way and it wouldn't install at all, only through the GeForce experience could I get it to install. I did try custom install, checking perform clean install and again, wouldn't install would just fail on me. Here is the device manager screenshot:  Here is the error I get when performing a clean install using the driver file downloaded from Nvidias website.

Get OUT of Device manager, you do NOT use it in Windows 8.1 (doing so can BREAK your Nvidia driver install)
It appears you are not performing the install correctly, due to Windows 8.1 driver signing behavior.
Get the installer on the desktop
During the install a box will come up " this driver is NOT signed..." you MUST give permission to install the "unsigned" driver

That is correct. Any beta driver requires manually approval of the install. This doesn't apply to WHQL certified drivers.

Agreed, use of the Windows 8 device manager for Nvidia drivers should be avoided at all costs, for just such reasons. Nvidia states clearly in the driver release notes--> that the "Device Manager" does NOT work correctly with all Nvidia driver components.

Okay clarify a few points. I have NOT used the device manager to INSTALL ANYTHING. I only used it to check what DRIVER VERSION I had installed. I did not touch the UAC settings, I installed windows, tried to install the driver by downloading the 337.50 driver from the NVIDIA WEBSITE and installing the driver FROM MY DESKTOP. Driver FAILED to install. So I tried installing 337.50 driver through GeForce Experience, it said install successful but the version DID NOT CHANGE AND KEPT SAYING I DID NOT HAVE LATEST VERSION INSTALLED. I tried CLEAN install several times to no success. After reinstalling windows, I install the 337.50 Driver from the NVIDIA WEBSITE again and it installed successfully. GeForce experience also says I have the 337.50 driver version installed now.
