It seems like the new trend in multiplayer games is to limit the frame rate with a cap at either 60 fps or 90 fps. This is going to have a major negative impact on video card sales and also probably cpu and 120 hz monitors. I don't mind a frame cap but I think it should be at a minimum of 120 fps, so people with 120 hz monitors can run vid sync and still keep things pretty fair.

    *creepy mad scientist voice* Ahh yes, the dreaded fps cap; The bane of my existence where I can only get 100 fps in BF2. :/

    Framerate cap to 60 doesn't bother me as long as I'm still able to actually run the game in 120Hz. 
     
    Caps lower than that, though... they're just gross.

    What are these games you speak of? IW's Call of Duty has always been capped to 90. Titanfall developers say that it is a glitch with their coding and are looking to fix it. What other FPS games are capped that weren't already in the series?
