hi there. new on this forum and this is my first post. just bought a GTX 750 ti for my son computer as a birthday gift, and I end-up with a big fail. in his computer was a Asus GTX 550 ti and works just fine. the motherboard is Asus P8Z68 - V, power supply is 750W Antec.  After installation I was trying to start the computer, but no display at all (HDMI, DVI, VGA). I have searching any relative problems regarding this configuration, but I couldn't find much.... I have try: updating the BIOS to the latest version, removing any existing driver, resetting BIOS....all useless. With other video card including the GPU on-board, works just fine. Is there any solution for this or I have to return the card back to shop? Strange situation, computer starts, fan spinning, but no display at all.... thanks for any answer

If you can test the card in another computer, I would highly suggest doing so to confirm the issue. If the problem follows the card, it's definitely faulty. You're more than welcome to return it to the shop you purchased it at if you're within your return period with them, of course if they give you any trouble we can always assist with an RMA and replace the card for you.

Another thing you could try is clearing the CMOS, sometimes that resets things and fixes the issue.  As the EVGA tech Jaeson states, it possibly could be defective card, but my opinion is that even though you updated your BIOS it is still causing incompatibility.  The 700 series cards can be a little finicky on motherboard incompatibility.  You could try contacting ASUS and see if they have any suggestions or able to tell you if the incompatibly is a known issue.

Last ditch effort, with the old card back in, go into the BIOS and see if you have any Legacy or non-UEFI BIOS boot option.  Make sure that is enabled as that can cause issues as well.

Good luck and let us know if you have any success.

thanks for a quick answer. I already did everything you guys mention above apart of testing into other computer. I'll go to shop to see what I can do. I am afraid because if it's a matter of incompatibility than they might not going to changed with another product or refund my money.....

If he's running win 8, you have to tell device manager it's ok to use it. Look for it in device manager, enable it there.

Have you tried disabling LucidLogix Virtu? Also have you tried disabling UEFI Bios?

The shop sounds full of BS to me. I have never had a compatibility issue with a motherboard and a GPU that is compatible with the slot (PCIe). You should start buying from shops that offer a 30 day no questions asked policy, like Amazon. Keep troubleshooting and you will get it working.

Just for giggles, have you tried another PCIe slot?
