EVGA says that total power draw from a single card is 250W, but I have seen as high as 600W from my single card when using a modded BIOS and overclocked.......and this is *just* from the card, and doesn't take into consideration the power that the rest of the system needs. I have a 1200W power supply, and have seen total system power draw as high as 900W. Now, again, this is water cooled and with a modded BIOS which unlocks the power. If you plan on running on air and/or with a stock BIOS, you won't see anywhere near the power draw I am. So, to answer your question, depending on overclocking and BIOS, you could see anywhere from 500W to 1200W from two K|NGP|NS in SLI.

250w per card is the normal 780ti rating according to nVidia. Each Kingpin card is able to draw 450w max. 2x8 pin (300w) + 1x6 pin (75w) + 75w from PCI-E slot = 450w max. So anywhere from 250w-450w per card depending on what you are doing with them.

I'm a believer in overkill, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I would go with this:

    http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=120-G2-1300-XR

    Or this:

    http://www.hardocp.com/ne...advanced_efficient_psu

Either of those would be the last power supply you would buy for a very long time.

I just installed the supernova 1300 watt because my hx850 wasn't enough for my new 780ti classified sli setup. I now can overclock them to my hearts content and I have no more issues like I was getting with my old psu.

I thought my 1200W PSU was enough but then I realized both cards were power throttling slightly. A single KPE in my system was taking over 500-600w by itself so there was no way two KPEs plus the rest of my rig could be powered properly by just 1200W. I ended up buying the EVGA 1300G2 as well and will run a dual PSU configuration now.

I am running a rampage iv black, 3960x, 32gb ram, 4 ssd's, 2 mechanical 4tb hd's, 2 kingpins, water pump and 8 corsair fans all running on a ax1200i. According to the I link software it never goes over 1000watts total usage.

It depends on how hard you are pushing them though. I am surprised your rig never went above 1 KW since my water cooled 4770k + 2 KPE (and lesser number of drives) went to 1150 W as per Corsair Link as well as a KAW after figuring in PSU efficiency on the same AX1200i.

Yeah, just like vsg28 said, it all depends on how hard you push your card(s). With an unlocked BIOS, and a voltage tool, you can really crank up the power going into these cards.
