I know a lot of us run dual PSU's. I currently don't own any fully modular supply's, but am in the market now for a couple new units. I was specifically looking at the 1300g2 and wonder if anybody has ever run it with just a jumper from the trigger to ground straight on the psu instead of using the 24pin cable and jumping it at the end of that. I only need the pcie cables and don't want to plug anything else in.

its risky just running with a jumper, the best and safest option to do is buy one of the pcb's where you plug in multiple psu's into a single system for pcs with multiple psu's.

hmm explain risky. and the point is to not have that cable connected. do those pcb's actually do anything besides add a relay to connect ground and green when triggered by an external 12v signal? If that's all they do then it is really no different than just a switch on a jumper. If they do something with the 3v and 5 volt rails to help the psu load balance then I might agree with you. Is this what they do?

This is your best bet. For $20 you can't go wrong. http://www.amazon.com/Add2PSU-Multiple-Power-Supply-Adapter/dp/B009P98Q8U

yes I am aware of those. all that is is a relay to connect trigger and ground when an external 12v is applied. I wont ever be turning this supply off, so no need for a switch or relay. I guess what I am asking is if most of these new power supplies, specifically the supernover 1300g2 needs something on the 5 and 3 volt rails to work long term. the 24 pin cable also connects with 2 plugs into the power supply. I am also wondering why this is and if the green wire is still doing the same thing as the older supplies?
