so you know all the post for help for bf3 and bf4 not being able to play online due to lag and stuff like hit detection
So a guy on my street plays both bf3 and 4 so my brother went to his house like 3 doors down there on the same internet provider and us same speeds
he pc has older hardware then mine but it like night and day
he can get 6 to 10 killing sprees  the hit detection is good he has no lag what's so ever.
so him and my brother  took his pc to our house but first he played on my pc and he could not believe how bad the game was playing
so he hooked up his and it played good

he said for like ever 10 shot I take may be 1 lands on the guy  then he say I am getting hit even after taking cover
he set up the game the same way as on his pc and still sucked on mine
Then he said that the game is just un playable and if it was him he would not even play it

buy his PC... well, your closer to figuring it out anyway. I wonder if something is messed up with your lan ports or something blocking the games network priority.

not sure he has the same default router as me the one that shaw hooks up on the install
I asked if he did that port forwarding he said no and there 4 pc hook up to the router at his place.
we are going to hook up my pc at his house after Easter to see if it my connection
but I had shaw here like 3 week to check every thing they said it was good and gave me a new router and land cable
and my pc the only thing hooked to the router.
like he running a 3570k 670  we get the same download and upload and pings
but yet the game plays super good on his connection

when he came and played bf4 at my place same map and server he could not believe how hard it was to kill some one
he said with a setup like mine there should be no way my kills a game should be around 20 or higher per game even if your a bad player
he got 46 kills on his pc  and like 9 on mine
and he only 3 doors down what the hell
the only diff is he has older hardware and running windows 7
I think the battlefield gods just hate me
you know how many time I redid windows google bf3 and 4 tweaks I did every thing
I do know when I have the upper hand on some one but yet I lose the battle
    it very sad
and he said my fps are really good even when I run the in game system test it good its always green bars

Control Panel/Windows Firewall/Allow programs to communicate through Windows Firewall
    also,
    Advanced Settings/Inbound Rules
check for PnkBstrA, B in here as well.
    IDK, maybe virus software

Yes, have you tried using your other LAN port... Is the game loaded on your C: drive? Possibly a SATA port or cable???? If your friends PC, at your house, is much different than yours and you both have roughly the same FPS. Then there is something screwy with your PC sending info back out to the network. Although the Speed Test doesn't indicate this with your upload speed and jitter compared to your friends....or does it? I am at a loss my friend.

my other land port I only have one or do you mean on the router.
No I picked up a 120 ssd just for battlefield  so my drives go .
    samsung 128 ssd for /windows c drive
wd black 1tb/  storage d drive
Kingston 120 ssd  battlefield e drive

    my hardware                    his hardware
    4670k                              3570k
    gtx 780                          gtx 760
    8 gigs of 1866 2x4            16 gig of 1600 2x8
    z87 motherboard            z77 motherboard
    650 psu                          750 psu
ssd for windows             240 ssd for windows
hd for storage                   wd 2tb drive
ssd for bf3 and bf4             windows 7 pro

    windows 8.1

so I spent all last night doing a clean install of windows 8.1
I have nothing installed just drivers and bf4 and windows updates

    and it the same thing

like a guy can be like 3 feet away and I blast 8 shot and I know they all hit and nothing but 1 shot I am down
it not just that it get up from saves 99% of the time I cant I know your going to get hit now and then but come one
its like slow motion for me.

my fps with ultra is like 135 to 144  but no matter how fast my fps is it not going to help lag and hit detection
all I want is to have a fair game if I plow 10 shot in to a guy he should drop.

I am temped to go back to windows 7 I know you all say windows 8 and bf4 but how much of a performance hit will I take
I would rather lose 10 fps then not being able to play at all.

and I don't accept to go in to a game and come out with 150 kill

but there other guys on like with good pc that can play the game  some say it the net code thing some say rubber banding
but I thing I have all them things

A lot of motherboards have two LAN ports for your internet. I can't comment on 8.1, but some how I don't think that is your problem from the difference you describe from your friends machine. If 8.1 was the prob like yours, the community would have gone nuclear by now over it. Were you able to play on your friends computer so that you know for yourself the big difference? Can the two of you run ping and jitter test on the same network to compare?

Ok we ran pingtest.net but we did not do the packet loss we both did the L.A sever
His ping 52 jitter 1 grade B  my run ping 61 jitter 4 grade B so not much of a difference
I did read the killer land is not so good but I don't use the software I got the main driver with out the killer software from msi support
I all so tried a intel land card 100/1000
Don't windows 8 use more bandwidth like apps running in the back ground and things
    I could be wrong.

I ran the test multiple times on that same server and it never was that much different if at all. If you are testing your friends PC then unplugging the connection from his and plugging into your PC and getting those results, I'd think there was something wrong. Have you tried installing that Killer software and configuring it correctly? You shouldn't get worse results than your friends PC. It's probably giving you a B rating because you are not running the packet loss part though. You make it sound like your friends PC is drastically different than yours, so I can't say this is the issue.

Also, it's been a while since I played BF, but I think there is a way to test the server and it will give you packet loss. If I remember right just about everyone I tried suffered from packet loss at the time. I know most people have the experience you describe, but I can't say to what degree.

As far as 8.1 I would think no. There shouldn't be any bandwidth used unless you have windows setup to check for updates automatically or something like that. Check task manager for applications and processes running.

Here is something that should be basically the same, although I'm not expecting big improvements. It's just that a ping of 9 difference between PC's seems wrong.

looks like the only major difference between you and your friends setup is you are playing the game on a seperate ssd. Have you tried loading the game onto the c: drive and playing from there?

    Asus Z170-AR
    Intel i7 6700K
    Corsair Vengeance 16gb 3200 mhz  (9 9 9 24)

    Asus GTX 1080
    Samsung 960 Pro 1TB M.2 SSD
    Corsair TX850 Power
LG Blu Ray 10x RW CH10
    Corsair 570x Crystal Case

    Asus Rog Swift PG278Q Monitor
    Windows 10 Pro x64

If he has his live tiles active, that could cause issues. That should be turned OFF
Its very simple to check with TaskManger, just open it up and look at APP use history
