The lastet games ive been playing havn't been pushing my hardware nearly as much as I thought. I see people with tri and quad GPU setups and im thinking, maybe one day I too can have an 82" 4k TV powered by my custom bohemoth PC. Please believe if I could afford the setup now, I would buy it too (**darn you rich enthusiasts**). I just see no need for 4k right now since the prices are out of this world at the moment, and to run a game "close" to 60 fps you have to take out a second mortgage.

I remember back when The Witcher 2 would destroy my SLI 570s and thought I had a decent setup, I coudn't even turn on ubersampling! The game looked amazing! Now days, most current gen games, even for console looks as good as that game did 2/3 yrs ago. My hardware now isn't even pressed and its eating up everything I throw at it. I personally can't wait for The Witcher 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisitoin. I feel that they will be then next benchmark games for the nex round of GPU's or even push current setups to their knees. They look absolutely stunning!

Also, I don't know if anyone can answer this but, I am looking forward to Oculus Facebook  (stupid facebook). Space/ Flight sims, Horror Games, possibilities... BUT will the oculus have its own internal graphics or will it get its quality right from our systems? Pushing 1080p in the forseen future?

Oculus will be powered by our pc's. Hopefully they will put a 2560x1440 screen inside instead of a 1920x1080 screen. Any higher than 2560x1440 and you start to require some serious hardware to run games in 3D at that resolution. I hope oculus includes support for non-3D games so I can play oldschool games on a huge virtual imax type screen.

I get 60 FPS in most games with my system, using FPS limiter set to 60.  So no, my hardware isn't really being pushed like it should be.

I'm pretty sure those games won't be industry leading in terms of graphics technology, nothing shown is really "next gen" in terms of graphics, though Dragon Age: Inquisition does look like it will be taking RPGs and gaming in general to higher levels.  But I don't think any game in the near future will have better graphics than Metro: Last Light and Crysis 3, which are the only games demonstrating "next gen graphics" really.  And I get 50-60 FPS in Metro: Last Light.

They still haven't made any games that my 580 classy can't play. They need to try alot harder to do that.

I get 60fps in most my games too with just a single 4GB 770 and 1080p, and its even better now due to the 337.50 nvidia drivers adding the shader cache feuture which improves minimum framerates (less CPU usage)

Video card technology is getting so good at taking the work load of the game, its seems pointless to upgrade the processor anymore.

There are rumors that the new LOTR game will push PC rigs to the max, but we have to wait and see if this is the truth. In my opinion, I think Witcher 3 has the potential to be the next benchmark game like Crysis was back in 2007, but until we see games actually use quad code functionality, we might be stuck in a time where consoles are still holding us back. Only time will tell

My 580's are still crushing anything.

Might want to upgrade soon, but more out of my own sickness than the actual need.

Right now, the only games that I own that really push my cards are The Witcher 2 absolutely maxed, the Metro series, and modded Skyrim and Fallout 3/New Vegas.  Probably gonna upgrade to an 880 when they come out anyways.  Lower power consumption and heat, which would be a major improvement to my SLI 570s.
