    Nice!
We enjoy great speeds here in NY/Long Island. With Cablevision (Optimum). for 4.95 more a month they will upgrade you to "Boost". Its 50 up and 25 down. Enterprise is is 100+ down and 35 up, but when ever I test it over a wire I get 135 down and 50 up.

i keep hoping comcast will do the same here, i keep seeing threads on like [H] and such that comcast has upped speeds and our's hasn't changed at all.  Of course i'd like to get my business account back again at which point it won't matter at all

I can only wish for that....

Welcome to University! Where you pay approximately $750 per month for residence, you get crappy water pressure, crappy showers, toilets that clog by water, a showerhead up to my chest (6'2" problems), SMALL SPACE for a shower, water is either lava or ice cold (No such thing as lukewarm), Beds worse than the hardwood floor, that ONE roommate that you have absolutely nothing in common and he asks you weird questions, broken microwave, rules.. and I think that's about it..

oh right forgot to add, that internet is split between 4 people, non-password protected so in other words you possibly have the other rooms in your residence eating up your bandwidth. Youtube videos native quality is 144p.

I love university (not sarcasm) I honestly feel like this will make me want to succeed even harder in life so I won't ever have to experience this pain ever again...

I switched recently for some promo deal in Comcast (north NJ) to lower my bill with net only and they gave me 50/10 for $39.99/mo for 6 months, not bad considering that I was paying close to $80 regular price for a few months and speed was the basic 30/5 or so.
With Comcast (as evil as people depict them), I usually find their Customer Service very helpful and eager to switch me at least once a year to either lower/promo billing at similar speeds, or higher speeds at similar price depending on which way you want to go or what is available to their Sales Dept at the time, not bad at all!

yeah hehe, if that actually happens, because I read weird news like the deal between them was falling through ... I to wonder how it affects the speeds. I use Comcast residential at home, but at work we depend on Time Warner Business class (totally over-priced garbage), perhaps merger with Comcast will fix crappy TWC speeds LOL!

I already got various E-Mails and physical mail, Stating it'll happen around 3rd quarter 2014.

Anyways, I hope they do raise our speeds (I have TWC)

good! I am looking forward to that merger :)
Maybe TWC will speed up too finally ... I feel sorry for my friend in Brooklyn, still running 15Mbps TWC Internet at home ... when it runs ... however cable wiring over there is madness, even worse in Manhattan (probably Afghani people have faster and/or more reliable nets than new yorkers LOL!), might just do the trick after they combine their forces.

Well, I'm pretty happy with my speed... But it could always be better!

It was definitely an upgrade from my old "U-verse" service.

that's very decent, been running such (or slightly faster promo blast deals in comcast) for some time, enough for everything, but I agree, it can always get faster and we all love that :)

Gah, all that speed is useless with caps though.

I'll stick with my 35/6 TWC any day over ANY speed Comcast gives as long as they still have caps...

This merger needs to NOT happen.

well ... depends on what you need the internet for ... personally I never went over 300GB/mo cap ...
    https://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/internet/data-usage-what-are-the-different-plans-launching/

residential internet is not designed (even price wise) for hosting servers with lots of public traffic (business class service is for that) and without that burden it's pretty hard to hit that limit unless you constantly stream 1080p HD videos and download a few GB of games each day ... or have like 10 internet addicts in house constantly hooked up doing either or all of above ;)

another reason why I like Comcast, they rolled out native IPv6 across their networks, pretty amazing how fast and widely they did it, one of the widest projects globally speaking.

my connection seems to be running natively over IPv6 now (a bit slower than over IPv4), but it's flawless:
