Just need to verify if the 3 way SLI connector is also okay to use for 2 way SLI?
Connecting two 760 SCs and need to make sure there is no problem with that.

Thanks, it keeps crashing with SLI enabled but I think it 335.23 driver; seeing lots of complaints on that one. Will try some thing older.

    Update:

Actually bad EVGA 760 SC out of the box. :(

Stuck it in by itself and it crashes with any driver. Put the older one in and it runs great. Damn!

    Hello MhzManiac

You can use the 3 way SLI bridge with no issues. However if you have one card that is working with the other card having crashing issues it looks like we would need to look into replacement options for you. Please register the unit and contact support in order to create a RMA request if needed.

Thanks for the reply Gabriel. If it's a failure out of the box, then should I just return it to Newegg?

Man I was really looking forward to see what SLI scores I would get.

That's a bummer.  A little more time without SLI, but you're under warranty...that's good.  Enjoy your SLI when you get it...

So what is the best way to go, return it to Newegg or register it and return it to EVGA? I know EVGA requests it on the lid to send it to them. Why is that important? I'll probably get hit with freight at least 1 way in either case.

If you're within the 30 day window, I would go back to Newegg.  I have only had to replace a couple items from them, but if you call or use their Live chat system & complain about something that came DOA, they have in every case with me, paid the shipping cost.  If you go with there standard RAM process, you'll probably have to pay for shipping at least one way.

Or contact EVGA directly to see what they will do for you.

EVGA is taking care of it. Good customer support. I just have to wait. I might as well send back my X79 FTW board at the same time as the USB 3.0 ports fail under heavy load and they want that sent back as well.

Take their advice and send back the parts they (EVGA) ask for. You'll have to wait a few days but hopefully everything will be solved quickly.

ByThe video card arrived at EVGA today, hopefully the replacement ships tomorrow. The FTW MB arrives tomorrow according to UPS and perhaps that will ship this Monday. Oh the waiting.

Meanwhile, I'm am heavily modding the Antec case while it's gutted. I cut a square hole in the bottom with my plasma cutter so I could invert the 850 Watt power supply to blow directly down and not add heat inside. Really the PS was made this way so I am correcting a design flaw in the case. I also cut an extra access hole near the bottom right corned where the board mounts to hide cables and route them out of sight. I'll take my time and do a better job of organizing cable and component placement.  I get so worried on a first build just getting everything to work that I don't give neatness and organization much thought.

    Update:
The video card shipped on Friday, thanks  EVGA.
    Now for the motherboard,

Just found out it shipped Monday.

    Yes sir, the best.

The new board seems to be better as I no longer need to use an alternative 2.0 USB port for my gaming keyboard. Still have not tries a 3.0 backup yet.
