I decided to dust off the old GTA IV and mod it up. Under the videos are links and a quick tutorial on how to enhance your GTA IV.

First you need to downgrade GTA IV to 1.0.4.0 for the best compatibility with mods.
After you follow this guide to downgrade, launch your game and make sure you can see the main menu text. If you cant, go back to that page and scroll down to "When using Xliveless (Asi-Loader) the menu-texts disappear:" Download and install the fonts fix.

Get iCEnhancer
For this mod I am using the "Very High" folder and the "No Depth of Field" folder. I dont like the depth of field but you might like the "High Quality Depth of field" folder. Make sure you install the xlive.dll into the GTA IV directory. This will help prevent your game from crashing. It is included in "Xliveless if it doesnt work.rar"

Ultimate Textures + HD Car Pack This really is the ultimate pack. Easy to install too. No need for SparkIV!
In the HD car pack i recommend you install the "Real Car Names" folder.
Do not install the taxi bug as it causes extreme texture pop-in even with the included "my textures disappear" fix. Inside the taxi bug folder is a folder called "My textures disappear" Copy and paste "commandline" and "msvcr100d.dll" into GTA IV directory. This will help a lot at preventing texture pop-in.

Tree Textures Great textures for the trees.

No intro logos removes the long intro so you can start playing sooner!

I am using this trainer to spawn vehicles and do many other fun things. F1 brings up the menu and you can use the numpad to navigate through it.

I also use this to block all the Rockstar Social Club bullcrap. It also makes the game load up MUCH quicker. First rename "LaunchGTAIV.exe" to "LaunchGTAIV_original.exe" Then copy the contents to your GTA IV directory.

I think thats about it. Feel free to send me a PM if you have any issues.
To be 100% safe BACKUP anything that needs to be overwritten by a mod!

I bought an X-Box 360 just to play it.  I had to get rid of it when I came here but holy mother of god I want it on PC bad.  The last new game I enjoyed even remotely this much was FarCry 3.  I wish The Division was going to be on PC, but I sit right next to a couple XBO's & PS4's at work so I can always hop on there and play.
