So this morning my wife and I turn on our advent tegra note 7 tablets to find she has a ota update available called 2.1! I didn't receive it as I refused to move on from 4.3 after I read about the sd issue. We are in the UK, so hope the rest of the world wake up to find the same.   It apparently repairs the sd issue, screen edge detection and bug fixes.  I can't test it as she doesn't have enough apps to have a need to put on sd! ... And I'm sorry I'm still no upgrading until those with the issue confirm it's fixed...hopefully this is what we been waiting for and good luck.

Here's a screen cap, currently testing, looks like no fix for Miracast streaming though

I installed it. Currently no issues, but I will update if anything bad crops up.

No issues here so far. No fix for the messed up home screen wallpaper placement either though. Was also really hoping this included the camera awesome update as well instead of having to purchase it, but it doesn't do that either. Nothing else has really been noticeable to me.

Does Move to SD card work? Can a file manager access the Sd card? That's the big issue for me.

I still can not write files to the external SD card.
But I can create new folders and copy files from the external sdcard1 to the internal sdcard0(but I think that was possible before)

Moving to SD card probably works I tried it with the VLC player app. I pressed "move to SD card" and a little window appears where it says it takes a few minutes, do not remove the SD card during this operation  Skipp/OK buttons. I skipped it from there though. I assume it depends on the APP if there is a move to SD card available.

Move to SD card still does not work well with all apps.  I tried moving a game, Nova 3 by gameloft, and it was a failure as before.

Someone mentioned problems with Miracast, what issues have there been?  Miracast has worked better on this tablet than any of my other devices.

I've used Miracast between this tablet - 2 EZcast dongles, a Samsung dongle - and even one RK3188 mini PC.  My Nexus 5 has really poor compatibility by comparison.

Post 4.4.2 upgrade, I cannot connect via Miracast (RocketFish Model). I keep getting a message to disconnect Wi-Fi, screen cap is here http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2119684. Prior to upgrade, connection was flawless and performance was very good for streaming movies and playing games. Same as you  some gameloft games still are not moving to SD card very well.

Let me get this straight - now you can't connect at all?  I just used my updated Tegra Note 7 with 2 of my miracast devices to test this last night.  Miracast worked great with my Tronsmart T1000 and Samsung Allshare Dongle (not recommended).  There was very minor lag, and video performance was excellent.  The only drawback I had was playing video files off my wifi network - as can be expected, using miracast to play videos stored on my network or Netflix, takes up most of the wifi bandwith and the result often stutters for HD files.  But I had no problem playing locally stored movies and games, even 1080P files.

I can't imagine the compatibility issue you're seeing with the Rocketfish adapter, I thought about getting one - and now I'm feeling glad that I didn't.  Of the 4 miracast devices I've tried - my Tronsmart T1000 has been the most compatible.  That said - my first one died on me within 3 weeks and I had to send it back for replacement.

Does the Rocketfish adapter work with anything else?  I'm just wondering if you can narrow down the problem by trying miracast with a phone, like the Nexus 4 or 5.

Cool, Thanks for the feedback, must be an issue with the Rocketfish and its compatibility with 4.4.2. It's too bad because it worked great before I upgraded.
I may pickup another brand to try.

I'm done. This whole BS with Google's abuse of OEM's to eliminate the use of the Sd card have turned me off to Android. They are not listening to users or even caring. At least Microsoft listened to their users and started fixing Windows 8 even though it took a year. I will never again buy another android device. I love my new Acer W4 Windows 8 Baytrail Tablet and it can play real games....

Actually Google changed the use of how apps work with the SD card and this was done for security and to patch a hole. App developers have to simply rewrite their apps to work with the new requirements. We just recently fixed this for our company apps. if you have the newest version of Google music you'll see that it allows music on the sd card.
